Today I’ve sung tenor in a Society parish Mass (the quintet ended up a quartet w/ 2 altos & 0 bass, so 2 of us dropped down a part), then sop 1 solo in Haydn’s The Heavens are Telling for #Evensong in my home church. A day full of variety & joyful praise ❤️ And I’ve decided to start #organ lessons!

Hospital logistics means I won’t be discharged until tomorrow. And while disappointing, that’s fine. It’s still much earlier than I expected.
I'm now STABLE! Hickman line's out & won't be replaced. Consultant is liaising w/ microbiology on changing antibiotics. I may even be discharged TODAY! I'm through the other side. TY for all your prayers & support. Much love xxx

Wide awake on the ward after a new patient is moved into the next bay. And then suddenly, from nowhere, I overhear a profession of thanks & the response, ‘No problem. God is love’. Profoundly moving. God is amidst us, holding us in our trouble and pain. #hospitallife #blessed #chemo #cofepeeps
I genuinely think it’s the latter. I’m regularly surprised by how little folk in training for ministry know about musical liturgy let alone choirs and mission etc. It’s a resource issue. That doesn’t just mean money…

Finally transferred to haematology/oncology ward @ 5am. So relieved. Trolley beds are uncomfortable! V happy w/ my large 2-bed room on a modern ward w/ its own loo, next to a window which opens.
