Figure. Antibody Responses Among Immunocompromised Adults Following Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccination

While immunocompromised individuals had a heterogeneous antibody response to RSV vaccines, those who received the adjuvanted RSVPreF3-AS01 vaccine showed better neutralization.

tl;dr version - very heterogenous response to RSV vaccines among immunocompromised patients (mostly SOT). Only ~60% "seroconverted" meaning had at least 4 fold rise. Slightly better chance of seroconverting and achieving "high titer" response among those that received adjuvanted vaccine.#IDsky #TxID

Antibody Response to RSV Vaccination in Immunocompromised Persons This prospective study investigates antibody response following respiratory syncytial virus vaccination in immunocompromised individuals.

Excited to share our article on RSV vaccine responses in immunocompromised patients published today in @jama.com. Many thanks to @williamwerbel.bsky.social and other co-authors for their hard work and support. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam.... #IDsky #TxID.

Seems like they had a lot of lead time so hopefully plenty of time to get updated on all vaccines since I imagine won’t respond well for some time afterwards. #idsky #txid

I never use cephalexin. Terrible dosing schedule. If not worried about MRSA usually go with cefadroxil. If c/f MRSA then usually use linezolid. #IDsky.

California health department reports possible bird flu case in child California's public health department reported a possible case of bird flu in a child with mild symptoms on Tuesday, but said there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission of the virus and that the child's family members tested negative.

Not loving these increasing cases of HPAI in kids. www.reuters.com/business/hea...

I think I’ll inaugurate my existence on this app with my favorite ID/medicine related lyric. “Maybe all I need is a shot in the arm. Something in my veins, bloodier than blood.” - Wilco.
