Reproducibility and open science are great, but they don't necessarily equate to rigor. You can perfectly share a study and still draw weak conclusions. True rigor lives in the questions we ask, the designs we choose, and the inferences we make.

Talkative activities were sometimes booksharing or playing, but mostly, they were “must-do” things like cooking or laundry! Each activity was linked to a positive feature of speech, like longer sentences or different words. Also, some caregivers talked more than others, no matter what they did!

Just out in Infancy! "Time to talk", by our great team, Janet Bang, Mónica Munévar, Arlyn Mora, and Anne Fernald used day-long recordings of English- and Spanish-speaking families in the US to explore what caregivers are doing when talking the most with their children.

M.I.T. Rejects a White House Offer for Special Funding Treatment

It's clearer by the day that Columbia making a deal with Trump in July was a catastrophe for higher education as a whole. It gave terrible people a bottomless appetite for extortion. The other eight universities must follow MIT's lead.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

They’re gonna blame the moms.

They always blame the moms.

They’re blaming moms for using the only safe pain reliever that in no way causes autism but WILL cause undue guilt and anguish.

Tylenol doesn’t cause autism.

The #1 way to explain America working properly is by saying “comedians can make fun of he President on TV.” A good way to explain fascism is “the President forces companies to fire those comedians as a condition of allowing them to conduct business.”
