I made two raised kitty bowls, but we dropped one and broke it. And then dropped and broke the other! So I made three more… but with HANDLES. We’ll see how long they survive… #pottery

I mean the clay is pretty much unporous, so it won’t let water through, (even without glaze.)

I made some self-watering pots!
Only… I fired it normally to cone 6 ish, so this Ironstone clay is pretty much vitrified, and not porous. Ooops #pottery

An experiment! The bowl on the left (darker clay) was glazed with the peacock method using V’s of flux. The light bowl on the right was glazed with W’s of flux. Same three rows of flux, same colors of Stroke n Coat in each, same Sandstone top coat. The V’s are sharper! #pottery #peacock

It had to be fired twice (apparently the clear glaze was too thick, so it needed a re-melt to clarify the cloudiness in areas…) but I think it’s finished! #pottery #sgraffito

I just made a pair of these! I’m calling them slurp bowls, since the area between the chopstick dents are perfect for slurping the broth in the bottom of the bowl! Love your blue color!

My bookend pots survived the bisque, and the glaze firing!! I’ll have to remember that 1 coat zinc free clear turns out with expected results! #pottery #sliptrail

Ooh! It’s so close to being perfect! Our studio fires at a high cone 6, and it my pieces in New Mexico chocolate clay are a little darker and richer… but a slightly darker brown with the green? *chef’s kiss
