Another demo lined up for my talks at #PHPKonf 🇹🇷 and @phpconference.bsky.social 🇩🇪.
What if #PHP could... transform HTML using good old jQuery syntax, via cheerio.js.org, powered by an @extism.bsky.social plugin?
Yes, that means: jQuery in #WASM, called from PHP! 💥

Let's take a critical look at "A Critical Look at MCP."
Some Major Points™️ covered:
1. big security pain points of MCP
2. transports are not the bottleneck
3. oauth has been going great, really
4. real problems (see point 1 again + more)

Prepping demos for my upcoming talks at #PHPKonf 🇹🇷 and @phpconference.bsky.social 🇩🇪.
What if #PHP could... 🚀 Server-Side Render (SSR) Web Components written in JS with enhance.dev, running as HTTP middleware via http-wasm.io, powered by @extism.bsky.social ⚡️ and #FrankenPHP 🐘?!
Next stop: Istanbul! 🇹🇷 Excited to be speaking at #PHPKonf about #PHP, WASM, and @extism.bsky.social. Talk is all about making 'what ifs' come true. What if we could write PHP extensions in JS? What if a @laravel.com app could be bundled as a cross-platform binary?
Come and find out phpkonf.org! 🚀
hey @mcprunbot.bsky.social - please summarize this tutorial!

Slides from my talk "WebAssembly, Extend Anything with Everything, Everywhere! " at #confoo are online. gamma.app/docs/Extism-...
Showed how to extend #frankenphp with an @extism.bsky.social / #wasi markdown middleware plugin, generating html at 3k req/s. Kudos to @dunglas.dev, FrankenPHP rocks!

After a 2-year conference sabbatical, I'm back on the speaker circuit! First stop: #ConFoo in Montreal.
This year’s talks cover and include #WASM,
@extism.bsky.social, #NativePHP, #FrankenPHP, #Golang, #PHP, #JS ... and a few surprises.

See you tomorrow!
I realize new tech stuff is just very exciting to me
But dang it, the @extism.bsky.social / Dylibso team is just doing such interesting things
Their latest mcp.run
well, of course #dylibso's mcp.run works with Deepseek models. Thanks for asking though. Here it is running via #mcpx4j with #Spring AI using the OpenAI connector, powered by @extism.bsky.social and the #Chicory Wasm runtime.
We're really excited to announce the mcpx4j library: you can now plug mcp.run tools everywhere Java runs! Powered by the @extism.bsky.social #chicory #wasm runtime! docs.mcp.run/blog/2025/01...
Also, consider the @extism.bsky.social SDK, also featuring #Chicory 1.0.0 support github.com/extism/chico...
This? Oh, nothing. That's just Ollama+llama3.2 with @langchain4j.dev, fetching #wasm functions from my mcp.run profile to get directions from Google Maps and flights from the Amadeus service, running them using the #chicory pure-Java runtime
Recently, Satya Nadella made some bold (and wise) predictions about the future of SaaS and business applications on Brad Gerstner and Bill Gurley’s pod.
Is it a complete collapse? The App-ocalypse?
I think it’s close… but we’re actually saved by MCP, here’s how:

While on stream, we finished the @bias.is Bias labeler~ Huge shoutout to @valrockspop.bsky.social for being our test subject on stream. We even added an extra feature!

Next week, it's back to @extism.bsky.social again!
My article "Wasm for the Java Geek 3: Electric Boogaloo" has been published on Java Advent! featuring @graalvm.org, @extism.bsky.social #chicory #wazero @kotlinlang.org and more!

It's only been a handful of days since
@anthropic.com announced MCP, introducing a new standard to integrate software tools and data systems into AI applications.
I see a promising future for MCP, so much that we're shipping a whole product to help see it grow!
Day 12 of #blogvent
Wrote a little bit about the idea and possibilities of plugins to extend software through my experience with @extism.bsky.social

Day 4:
But today I got enhance SSR WASM working in Go with @extism.bsky.social
Still struggling with deployment of the Go project. It's deployed on fly but reading the directory for custom elements if giving some grief
Once that is good I can start migrating everything else over
quick little preview of something we're cooking up...
mcp.run
easy MCP server programming & deployment -- without the need to implement your own MCP Server.
thx @anthropic.com for #MCP!
I feel my bluesky is becoming about things I feel I could see @extism.bsky.social / XTP be used for
1) Automerge (CRDT based local first solution) written in rust, compiles to WASM. Local first plugin for everyone
2) pglite for everyone
In the recent addition of @tyler.ui.dev newsletter, Extism and plugins were highlighted.
This will be an egghead course but here is a demo of writing server rendered web components with enhance.dev and running them in a Phoenix app as an @extism.bsky.social plugin

Check out #Dylibso 's @nilslice.bsky.social on the #wasmassembly podcast with @tomayac.com, talking all things #wasm beginning with @extism.bsky.social through #XTP, a dash of #wazero, and even a large chunk about the #chicory JVM runtime!
