Small update from Kilian.
Kiln (0.2.0) now supports local filesystem streaming, auto-leveling from dataset metadata, improved OME-Zarr handling (v0.5 uint8/unit16) and a few improvements on the UI.

The new release of #BigVolumeBrowser (0.1.0) finally adds animation render functionality to it, plus some other navigation improvements and bug fixes.
Here is a movie I've made for the microtubule network (via ExM) in different cell types. Contact me if you want it for educational/research purposes.
Quick note β you can already use the deployed demo with your own datasets. Just set the URL parameter to point at your own public store. mpanknin.github.io/kiln-render/...

Still experimental, feedback welcome.
π¬ Just dropped: our latest video!
If youβre new to volume EM, a non-scientist, or a scientist from another field, this video is a great place to start.

Kiln also has experimental OME-Zarr support. This is the Beechnut β a 3 GB micro-CT scan streamed directly from a public OME-Zarr store into the browser. No preprocessing, no conversion. github.com/MPanknin/kil...

Meet Kilian.
A 2 GB CT scan of a chameleon β rendering in the browser in a few hundred milliseconds.
Built with Kiln: a WebGPU-native out-of-core volume renderer.
Bricked volume storage, GPU memory virtualization, LRU streaming, compute shader ray marching.
