Boycotts are necessary! Big protests are necessary! Economic blackouts are necessary! Workers calling out sick or taking time off to support these causes is necessary! Mutual aid is BEYOND necessary! But they are not strikes.
A caregiving social movement IS political.
Also hope that 2026 is when people bring back earnestness. Sincerity is GOOD.
If you’re feeling like none of this stuff is big enough, know that it’s these kinds of small actions done by hundreds of thousands of Minnesotans that built the resistance you’re seeing.
Doing something is always better than nothing. Just do something and trust it will inspire others to do the same
Our Democratic elected officials are not rising to this moment so most of them must go.

Police, not ICE, arrested around 100 clergy *yesterday* for participating in peaceful resistance against ICE. If Minnesota has "had it" then MN Democrats should do something about it and quit criminalizing the people willing to put their actual bodies on the line to say they've had it!
This is 100% FALSE. Immigration judges do NOT play any role in issuing administrative warrants. They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves. ICE’s own training materials say they can’t be used for a search of a home!

It is not our job to determine if resistance is hopeless. It is our duty to render it effective, at all possible points, while we are alive. It is the future that will determine if our efforts were victorious, not the present. To act fully in the present means to never face defeat.

In a FaceTime video call from the other firefighter to The Seattle Times, firefighters in their gear were seen sitting on logs in front of federal officers. Some firefighters were dismissed back to their vehicles. One firefighter attempted to walk over to his company vehicle to get something to drink and appeared to have been called back by federal officers. In images shared by firefighters from the scene, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection vehicle is parked nearby. Officers wearing “Police” vests are seen arresting a firefighter, while another appears to be restrained. According to one of the firefighters, they were denied the chance to say goodbye to the detained crew members. “I asked them if his (family) can say goodbye to him because they’re family, and they’re just ripping them away,” the firefighter told the Times. “And this is what he said: ‘You need to get the (expletive) out of here. I’m gonna make you leave.'”
