For Trans Day of Visibility we're highlighting the accomplishments of famous athletes. Their accomplishments on and off the field of play deserve to be celebrated. They are competitors, they are our teammates, and they are strong. We hope that these visible athletes remind us that sports and athleticism are important to the whole trans community. Their fight, grit, and determination enrich us all. Today we say Trans Athletes Belong.
Chelsea Wolfe has been on bikes her whole life. From a BMX family, Chelsea is a former racer who switched to competing in freestyle. In 2021 she made Team USA, traveling to Tokyo as an alternate for the women's BMX freestyle team. In July 2023, just three weeks before she was to compete at Super Worlds, the Union Cycliste Internationale (the governing body of sports cycling) banned trans women from official competition. Like so many trans athletes, her right to compete was stolen from her.
But Chelsea isn't done. She continues to ride, continues to compete, and continues to fight. "It's normal within BMX culture that if you crash, you get back up and you take a second run, or you try that trick again: Giving up is not something that we do," she told Bicycling magazine. "I don't have the luxury of being able to be a pushover with being queer, being trans, being a woman, being autistic. I have to be able to stick up for myself to stay alive."

We have two logo coverup / modifications available at the ring toss table. Limited supply. They’re free, but a donation to keep this whole thing going would help. (Donate to the printing fund at the merch counter.) #BAONPDX

Ring Toss update! It's happening again today. Previous kits can have the sponsors removed easily. However, the brand new kits are a problem. We have two options for cover-ups that you can take to a local shop to get applied.
