Marv’s thoughts continue, “What is she then? A Champion for hire?” Panel 2, Marv continues to worry, “I haven’t let Tam out of my sight! He can’t be in trouble, can he? There’s no reason for her to be here!” Panel 3 Marv’s eyes widen in horror and thinks, “Unless…OH GODS! lt’s Relumis all over again!” An imagination scene plays out behind him, the Champion boorishly grabs Marv by the collar and says, “You’re with me, little man!” while Marv struggles helplessly and says, “Please, Lord! Have mercy!”

He’s so lonely out here…” Panel 2, Marv continues to think, “But the Huntress is a Wolf, and so TAM is a Wolf...But if SHE’S a daughter of Eutratis, and HE is the Horned Stallion, then…” Behind Marv is an imagined epic scene of his son Tam happily riding a rearing unicorn. Lightning flashes and flares dramatically from the unicorn’s horn. Panel 3, Marv frantically shuts down his line of thinking, “NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! I don’t know anything about taking care of horses!”

Just take a breath and tell her--” Panel 2, Marv yells a loud and decisive, “NO!” Panel 3, the Champion is taken aback by Marv’s sudden outburst and Marv, having finally heard what the Champion actually asked, stammers, “--What? What for?!” Marv answers, “You’ll understand when you’re older. JUST LET HER REST, AND PRAY SHE WON’T ASK FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!”
