A thing about the heaviest users of chatbots is that they acclimate to cloying obsequiousness. Like a billionaire and their entourage of viziers, it becomes normal to them.
Any interaction that is *not* abject simpering they'll now perceive as a slap to the face, an aggressively violent outburst.

Foghorn Leghorn you have to stop. You smoke too tough. Your swag too different. Your bitch is too bad. They’ll kill you
Beastars - primarily 3D, with 2D limited to specific entities like turtles; generally well-directed enough to never be jarring.
Rooster Fighter - the demons and chickens are in 3D, with most of the human characters in 2D (with a few exceptions).
FotNS 2026 - ???
Actually wait hang on, I may have spoken too soon with this episode 'cause there's random 2D cuts all over the place, seemingly without much rhyme or purpose. Makes the viewing experience even more jarring. Not that 3D shows don't have 2D in spots, but there's usually a coherent logic to it.
Like every single strike or punch just feels weirdly floaty or looks like someone is getting mildly tapped by Kenshiro's fingers. Conversely, this 2D scene of a no-name extra getting his face slashed is the only time so far that I felt a meaningful visual sense of impact and weight to the action.
There's this really brief and seemingly random cut of 2D animation in episode 3 of Fist Of The North Star 2026 that I think best highlights the biggest problem with the 3D animation (aside from the aesthetic itself): there's no real sense of tangible physics to any of the fighting going.
Nippon Sangoku: high-concept post-apocalyptic narrative about Japanese reunification.
Also Nippon Sangoku: "holy shit, the Minions ride at Universal had some stupidly long wait times."
April 19th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest / The duo's last album from well over a decade ago, and one that definitely has the coldest-feeling atmosphere out of their entire discography.
April 18th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase / stands out for the addition of acoustic guitars and similar sonic elements that add some very pretty nuances to their sound.
...leans into more occult territory with a darker sense of atmosphere.
April 16th-17th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children / Geogaddi -- I'm definitely very late getting into Boards of Canada, but I'm into them! Strong debut that has a great mix of hip-hop rhythms and intricate psychedelic ambience, while the follow-up...
April 14th-15th. #albumaday2026. Unearthly Rites - Ecdysis / Tortural Symphony of the Flesh -- aggressively suffocating atmosphere bolstered by some gargantuan rhythmic grooves and altogether filthy/nasty production makes for a really promising career for this band.

Now past the 100-chapter mark of Marriage Toxin.
Really gotta appreciate how good Mizuki Yoda is at drawing some really fucked up faces. Just some real nasty-ass fuckers.
47. Black Hole Fishing - this incremental idle game where you catch fish to feed into a black hole in a pond and build out an efficient system to keep the hole fed, increase your multipliers for mass/money, breeding more fish, etc. It was kinda fun to figure out the gameplay loop of everything.

46. The Pitt (season 2) - for the follow-up season to one of the breakout streaming hits of last year, I'm surprised by how focused this manage to be, story-wise. There wasn't much of an attempt to be bigger or more spectacle-driven, instead focusing on the internal lives of the...
...of devoted fandoms, not just through its titular conceit, but also idol concerts and wrestling. That being said, the various Shocker threads made the series feel a bit unfocused, and some of the fanservice was... kinda off-putting in a weird sorta way. I'd still watch a season 2 though.
45. Tojima Wants To Be A Kamen Rider (S1) - this was a weirder series than I was expecting going into it. At its strongest, you could feel a genuine enthusiasm behind its homages to Kamen Rider, and I was never bored watching it, especially as it touched on the wider theme...
Decided to dive into the Marriage Toxin manga yesterday. Up to about chapter 31, and I see the author may or may not be into Tekken 👀
I'm not exactly sure how to ask this without sounding needlessly pervy (and I'm legitimately curious), so I'm just gonna say:
Is Tojima Wants To Be A Kamen Rider the bustiest anime series in recent memory? Can't remember the last time I saw a show where every women had a chest like Hitomi Tanaka.
Young pope Leo, undated but he appears to be in his teens or early 20’s
young pope leo looks like a ska scene regular who goes by Upbeat but no one knows his real name
It took me way too long to think of this mildly clever episode name <w<;;;;
