April 19th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - Tomorrow's Harvest / The duo's last album from well over a decade ago, and one that definitely has the coldest-feeling atmosphere out of their entire discography.

April 18th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase / stands out for the addition of acoustic guitars and similar sonic elements that add some very pretty nuances to their sound.

April 16th-17th. #albumaday2026. Boards of Canada - Music Has The Right To Children / Geogaddi -- I'm definitely very late getting into Boards of Canada, but I'm into them! Strong debut that has a great mix of hip-hop rhythms and intricate psychedelic ambience, while the follow-up...

April 14th-15th. #albumaday2026. Unearthly Rites - Ecdysis / Tortural Symphony of the Flesh -- aggressively suffocating atmosphere bolstered by some gargantuan rhythmic grooves and altogether filthy/nasty production makes for a really promising career for this band.

April 13th. #albumaday2026. Naomi Scott - F.I.G. // Not too bad for a debut record, mainly standing out due to its intricate vocal arrangements and '80s pop-styled production.

April 12th. #albumaday2026. Neurosis - An Undying Love for a Burning World // A surprise Neurosis album with a new vocalist in tow after a 10-year gap between records; maintains the slow deliberate heaviness they're known for with plenty of gritty post-metal melodies and interesting synthesizer use.

April 11th. #albumaday2026. Robyn - Sexistential // Robyn definitely still knows how to have a fun time in her music, with another solid collection of dance-pop jams heavy on sensuality and straight-up hornyness.

April 10th. #albumaday2026. Immolation - Descent // Another killer slice of death metal from this iconic band that's 12 albums deep now at this point, yet they still have that same aggressive gnarly spark as their classic years.

April 9th. #albumaday2026. Poison The Well - Peace In Place // 17 years since their last album, Poison The Well come back pretty strong with a new record that leans more into the melodic side of their melodic hardcore sound in the vocals/guitar department, but still has some meat on its bones!

April 8th. #albumaday2026. Peaches - No Lube So Rude // Peaches still going at it with bombastic guitar-tinged electro pop that's packed with her signature brand of overt sexuality.

April 7th. #albumaday2026. Thundercat - Distracted // Definitely leans more into the R&B side of things, but there's no shortage of gorgeous bass and synths, lush vocals, and lyrics mixing adult swim shiposts with sincere reflections on life. Even avoids having any super brief tracks, which is nice.

April 6th. #albumaday2026. Sunn O))) - self-titled // Lengthy bass-heavy guitar drones? Field recordings? Yup, this is a Sunn O))) record, alright. As always, definitely an acquired taste.

April 4th-5th. #albumaday2026. Angine De Poitrine - Vol. 1 and Vol. II // comparable to the likes of King Gizzard with their microtonal guitar compositions, although certainly more stripped down with the guitar/drum setup. I do like how the drum work can change up the feel of the riffs at play.

April 3rd. #albumaday2026. Yoko Kanno - Aquarion Evol Eve No Shihen // A solid collection of musical pieces here, though admittedly the most typical-sounding of her scores relatively speaking.

April 1st-2nd. #albumaday2026. Yoko Kanno - Macross Frontier soundtracks 1+2 // Interesting to note the mix of intense orchestration, instrumental solo pieces, and quite a bit of vocally driven pop and rock across these two soundtracks.

March 30th-31st. #albumaday2026. Yoko Kanno, Hisaaki Hogari - Genesis of Aquarion (soundtracks 1 and 2) // Looks like we have the Warsaw Philharmonic back in the building with these great soundtracks, throwing in some tinges of electronic production here and there.

March 28th-29th. #albumaday2026. Yoko Kanno - Arjuna: Into The Another World / Onna no Minato -- some of the more standout soundtracks in her discography at this point, with heavy Indian influence and more vocal/percussive music.
