drawing of two ocs, river (she/her), and souta (he/him), based off of the pokemon wingull and drifblim, respectively. souta is a train conductor and river is his co-conductor, although she is still in a training period. in this drawing, he is showing her around one of the cabins, saying something she appears to be moderately amused by. the drawing is predominantly blues, yellows, and golds, with a blurred, memory-like quality to its depiction, with a background out of focus.

river and souta, this time, in the quick aftermath of a train derailment. souta has his arms around river, who is clutching the back of her head, looking terrified. souta's face is obscured, but his hat has fallen off and there appears to be blood running down from his forehead. both of their clothes are ripped and disheveled, and there is a hazy, smoke-like screen framing the piece. a golden glow surrounds them, potentially from a fire or other light source tied to the incident. narrative-wise, souta was able to protect river from the brunt of whatever accident they were in, sacrificing himself in the process as he put all his energy toward making sure his moves shielded her--although, she still sustained injuries. the weight of his sacrifice would weigh heavily on her due to the short duration of their time together; she had only known him for around a week or so.

river, sitting in front of a grave at night. the grave appears to be souta's. there are marigolds resting on the grave and by her right side. the environment is painted in blues and there are small sources of light from lanters in the distance, providing a small golden glow. after the incident, river would frequently visit souta. the golds of the piece are symbolic of a presumed lingering presence, or thought that he may be there. the ribbon on her right arm is from souta's overcoat.

a drawing of river in what appears to be a hospital room. her room is draped in blues while the window to her right is a glowing cold, and there are marigolds at her bedside. she is holding a piece of souta's overcoat ribbon in her hand, looking down at it in deliberation. despite souta's selfless act, she would end up developing an illness later with poor prognosis. at the end of her life, she thought about if she'd have a chance to be reunited with him, but also felt guilty that she didn't "make use" of the time she was given, and like what he did was for nothing, as she wasn't bound to live long, anyways. golds remain a symbol of him in this drawing, and are stronger as she nears the end of her own life.

an original (gijinka) character named vera (she/her), based off of the pokemon vespiquen. her skin is a tan, golden hue. she is inspired by typical bard fashion. she is an older woman with moderate wrinking, and silver hair cut into a rounded bob. she has red, ringed eyes with white pupils and wears subtle orange lipstick and eyeshadow. she is wearing wide yellow and black striped pants, a black corset, over a yellow button-up with hexagonal patterns and long, puffy black sleeves and a yellow overcoat. the back tails of the overcoat resemble insect wings. her hat is adorned with a two small and one large red gem(s) and two yellow, feather-like accessories. her "weapon" of choice is a lute, which she uses to "command" forces in battle--while she is not the outright leader of the guild, she does much of the work in the background, being quite essential as "support" to the whole.

an original (gijinka) character named darius (he/him) based off of the pokemon drapion. darius is a dark-skinned, medium-height, stockily built man in a rogue-inspired outfit. he is wearing a hoodie with spiky sleeves and gloves with protruding fang-like attachments. his pants are puffy and somewhat baggy, and he is wearing sneakers. he has a dagger secured to his waist with a cross-style pair of belts. his hair is styled into box braids that cascade down his back, arms, and shoulders. his hair is predominantly purple with some white pieces toward the crown and ends, with additional teal pieces at the ends. his hair is divided into three main "clusters" secured by ribbed bands. he is wearing blue sunglasses and has facial piercings on either side of his mouth and on the left nostril.

an original (gijinka) character named haru (she/her) based off of the pokemon heracross. haru is a short, muscular, wide-set woman with round features and fair skin with olive/warm undertones. her hair is blue with layering, cut above the shoulder and tied loosely in a half-updo (buns). the ribbons that secure her hair are long and reach a little bit past the bottom of her hair. her eyes are yellow. she is wearing a slate blue sleeveless yukata, chest armor, knee armor, and dark blue pants that resemble loosely hakama, but are tight at the ankle and secured with both a thread and ankle cuffs. she is wearing blue shoes with white, horn-like toes. there are blue bandages over her prominent biceps and she is wearing forearm braces trimmed in fur with blue, horn-like protrusions coming out of the sides of the braces. she is wielding a tall axe that is taller than her. the axe shape is inspired by the horn of the male design of heracross, while the front of her chest armor resembles the female horn design.

an original (gijinka) character named serena (she/her) based off of the pokemon scizor. serena is a tall, tan-skinned woman with reddish undertones. she has a short, blunt cut angled bob and is dressed in witch-inspired attire, with a tailcoat and hat with wing-like patterns. she uses a spear as a weapon.

an original (gijinka) character named yasuaki (he/him), whose design is inspired by yanmega. he is a tall, tan man with slightly greying dark green hair and a face obscured by a green mouth cover and red-and-black goggles. he has a pair of earmuffs to protect himself from the loud noises that can come with some of his speed-based offensive strategies, as well as to reduce stimulation (he has a heightened sense of hearing/perception to sound). he uses a bow for one of his main weapons, with his arrows styled similarly to yanmega's wings. the arrows are secured in a holder on his back. he is wearing an overcoat with a hoodie that reaches his knees, underneath is a double-breasted long-sleeve green uniform with elbow length black gloves and knee length boots.
