Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.
It’s @joinnoblemobile.bsky.social giveaway time! Just like this post and one person will get free wireless for a year, a ~$600 value. Winner chosen Monday at random. The average American spends $83/month on wireless which is . . . twice what they do in other countries. 🤔 Good luck!
Universal Basic Income is inevitable.
This was a fun one for me to write. It's the Angine de Poitrine argument for universal basic income. We could have more weird, awesome, truly human stuff like this if we all had UBI. We could have more Einsteins too. And because those things are true, the cost of NOT doing UBI isn't worth it.

And here we are…as predicted. Our very own #idiocracy.

He lands in the tree outside my house and calls out to me, every day. He’s a free bird but he goes home to my neighbour Maddie’s house every evening. I love his visits. #LifeInAThaiForest
Our data is incredibly valuable - and we should be getting paid for it. Zach and I discuss this, taxing AI and more on andrewyang.com/podcast

Bershimmer has been especially friendly this week, normally he won’t get on my hand, but this week I can’t get him to leave. His human, Maddie, says he’s been in mating mode, so that explains all the kisses he’s been giving me. I love having a free bird that comes to visit. #LifeInAThaiForest

I don't like talking about the cost of universal basic income, not because it's some high number, but because it assumes not doing it is free. We spend $1.5 TRILLION a year on the costs of child poverty alone. We cut child poverty by 40% for a cost of $100B in 2021. That would have been a $500B GAIN
I feel terrible for the people getting laid off right now at various companies - and unfortunately I expect it to get much worse.
No one should be okay with anyone winning an election with 29% of the vote. I don't care if it's "normal"; it's simply undemocratic to do elections that way. Instant runoffs should be used until a candidate has over 50% of the vote. Even if the winner remains the same, that's majority vs. plurality.
They don’t feel safe traveling to the US. And rightly so.
I just switched from Gmail to Proton Mail and I am so fucking annoyed.

Happy World Book Day! Currently reading Artemis by Andy Weir.
For about $2.5 billion a day, we could provide a $500 per month UBI to every American — adults and kids. Poverty would be reduced by 65%. Child poverty would drop by over 80%. Extreme poverty would be essentially eliminated. Inequality would drop by about 20%.
We can do/be so much better than this.
