i wait all day to watch a movie, i make it over halfway through, it triggers an aura migraine for some reason. okay.
i just saw a jeopardy clip where one of the questions referenced POULTRYGEIST what the FUCK
66. watched Critters 2. still goofy, still fun.
this franchise definitely doesn’t live up to its full potential, but i can’t deny that it has enough heart to make up for it. loved this even more than the first.
65. watched The Night Owl. been watching too many good movies lately and had to switch it up.
this has some fun ideas though. still not great, but a minor gem of SOV trash
also i have my criterion subscription back for now
what’s on there that i need to be adding to my watchlist? i haven’t really been keeping up
64. watched Mirror.
squashed my beef with Tarkovsky, but i’m too exhausted to have actual thoughts on this right now. it is an absolute masterpiece though. pure mesmerizing poetry.
63. watched Call Me by Your Name.
been putting off watching this very controversial film for way too long, so i finally bit the bullet. it’s surprisingly tender and bittersweet. i like the message at its core, but it still doesn’t click with me like it does for a lot of people.
62. watched Victim, a profoundly bold and important film for the time period it was released. and one that’s still, devastatingly, timely today.
i’m just in awe at how well the subject matter is handled, how well this is written, and how this even got made in the first place.
61. watched A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, my favorite of the franchise so far!
so many fun practical effects, kills, and Freddy doing weird shit.
“WELCOME TO PRIME TIME, BITCH”
it's always a good day to watch Phantom of the Paradise (1974) 🖤
noi dorohedoro you will always be famous
After years of being unavailable or locked behind a paywall, fans of Tales From the Crypt will finally be able to binge watch the beloved series for the first time ever. Shudder announced today that it will be the exclusive home for all seven seasons of the anthology series, making it the first…
watching my partner play yoshi’s island has taught me some horrifying things about the Mario universe
my Buffy & X-Files arcs will come eventually. i’m yearning to start one of them honestly. but i also just wanna watch a million movies right now and my brain doesn’t let me do both.
like i don’t think my attention span is that cooked yet.
i guess it’s just because i know i’ll get hyperfixated on it and not be able to consume any other media besides that for weeks. that is such a daunting commitment despite knowing i’ll enjoy it.
how am i supposed to motivate myself to watch tv shows when movies exist
Patricia Arquette in "Lost Highway" - BOTD
Sigourney Weaver as Ripley, the warrant officer aboard the Nostromo..

Ash: You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility. Lambert: You admire it. Ash: I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality…
Three images of isabelle as anna next to each other; leftmost is a bust of her bleeding out of her mouth, the middle is her mid-breakdown, and the third on the right is also mid breakdown. She thrashes about with a grocery bag.
Isabelle Adjani in Possession 1981 directed by andrzej zulawski
Laura Dern in WILD AT HEART
59. watched Your Monster, a really fun, cute monster-fucker movie that’s actually about female rage after getting fucked over by life & a really shitty ex.
i wish it had made some different choices, especially with the ending, but i can’t deny how much i still love it regardless.
The Sutter Cane book covers that were done by Shannon Shea while working for KNB EFX on In The Mouth of Madness (1994)
I contacted Shea the other week and he said the other book covers were done 'by someone on the production in Canada'. All the artworks are currently owned by John Carpenter.
RIP to Shozin Fukui who made this absolutely wonderfully revolting and frenetic piece of punk film making.
