Yeah, ok. More click baiting. What is the point of even arguing about it. Since the early 90's I saw the Internet grow - get used, get abused. I wish it were different. But only a luddite would argue that it wasn't a good idea. It has transformed communication, work, life, everything really. MOSTLY+

So, I suspect the author doesn't hold a business degree, has no degree in IT, and hasn't worked in the corporate sector. He is a blogger and journalist. Writing scifi doesn't equate to real-world experience. He says he can't predict the future, but the article is about just that. Sorry, I am lost.

Are universities only developing 'traditional' knowledge workers? Is AI replacing them and their skill set? Do universities really have to change or die? People keep posing (and posting) this, but I have to question: Is it true? #highered #AI #Universities #HigherEducation

A colourful infographic titled “UNESCO AI Competency Framework for Students,” launched during Digital Learning Week 2024. The left side features a red background with a white UNESCO logo at the top. Below the title, the subtitle reads: “Equipping young people with values, skills, and knowledge to use AI responsibly and creatively.” A cartoon illustration shows a smiling robot emerging from a computer screen, with a girl sitting cross-legged reading a book in front of it. Surrounding them are books, a pencil, and a magnifying glass.

The right-hand panel (on a pale yellow background) lists four sections:

Key Competencies:
- Human-centred mindset
- Ethics of AI
- AI techniques and applications
- AI system design
12 competencies across 4 dimensions and 3 progression levels: Understand, Apply, and Create.

Educator Guidance:
- Build AI literacy for all students
- Support inclusive and ethical design
- View learners as future AI creators

Alignment in the UK:
- Jisc’s guidance on generative AI literacy for FE learners
- AI Playbook for the UK government
- DfE’s guidance on generative AI in education
