Getting The Most From WeAre.xyz with Simon Davies Talk on Zoom by Simon Davies, founder of WeAre.xyz

Hi, a quick plug for this virtual talk on Sat 11 Apr at the @sogorg.bsky.social. They've found this amazing speaker, can't recommend enough. Says will talk about tables and mudlarking of all things. Oh and will be his Dad's 91st b'day, so bringing a virtual cake.

Just did the most fun & thoughtful RootsTech Ridealong session with my most genuine of friends Barbara Tien at Projectkin. I should have talked more about WeAre, but this was just a beautiful stream of consciousness that made my year xx Barbara in Berkeley where sand dollars are the real currency 🙂

When a conversation begins "I have to tell you about time travel" you know it's going to be good. What a fun conversation with @simondmd.bsky.social. Watch for the recording with detailed notes within a couple of hours.

Please do come along - a really fun chat rather than a workshop - lets see what hidden gems people have found in their research - and exchange experiences of getting family interest

Got any glass plate negatives or marooned camcorder DAT tapes. @sogorg.bsky.social running this delicious course, and digitally preserving these will be my contribution:

The way they say a lunatic being transported - implying an official diagnosis & that he is in custody as a result being moved to an institution perhaps? I’ve not found reference to him in Charter Towers media. Did he come from Shropshire to seek his fortune in the gold fields & became destitute

Thank you very much

@atcherleyons.bsky.social I assume thats you :) you genius. I found the most tragic record. He jumped suicidally from a ship. Definitely him - the whole record says from Shropshire. Hope I can find more insights. Thank you so much
