Taking a break is proving to be the right call. Partly because it's letting me register all the things I need to account for in C33 before I get stuck in, & start to plan out how to do so, & partly because I'm feeling so drained, in a weirdly contented way, I may even turn in earlier than normal.
Certainly true, but why did the Canary ignore the attacks on trans+ people that are a cornerstone of the UK's human rights backslide, especially when Amnesty's report mentions them?
Even some of the "good guys", it seems, consider us optional.

Read-through done. 4721 words. Now to upload, then back up, then I might take a break from writing for the rest of the night, because I think I need to prepare properly for what I have to tackle next.
1300 words written, & chapter is done. 4711 in total. An absolute doozy, & I actually made myself cry at the end. I'm taking that as a good sign.
The most epic moment I've ever written. Yet.

Hodge is an "anti-corruption champion" in the same way that guy who defected to the Tories was an "antisemitism tsar".
And I maintain the viciously self-serving Hodge was a key figure in kick-starting Labour's march ever rightwards, hence Starmer's little thank you package.
Another 1300 words of C32 written last night. Liking my consistency, hoping it lasts. Need to make a couple small tweaks, then I'm determined to finish it tonight.

Watching some Falling Skies, & while it's well made, looks good, & the acting's consistently strong, it's doing nothing original that I can see.
The plot, the characters, the tone, the gun-toting militarism, it's pretty much off a production line. The Walking Dead with aliens, almost.
