In my last 2 prescription lens changes, I had to confirm 3 times (each) that I did *not* want blue blockers. I'm surprised they didn't ask me to write it in my own blood or something.

I’ve wanted to build an #OrgCharts tool for a while, because over many years I saw the ones that exist don’t solve the problem we actually have.
Struktr is real now, thanks to 2 weeks of #VibeCoding with #ClaudeCode: jcraveiro.com/blog/buildin...
I’ve been quietly building a tool to map product development orgs by domains instead of reporting lines.
Launched it today on Product Hunt. Curious what fellow product / engineering / design leaders think.

I'm reading "Why Nations Fail", but for the past week and a half I've been reading the same page every night because I fall asleep before getting to the end of it.
(No diss on the book, I've just been really tired!)
Hey Google
Please make it easy to add someone else's Android device to my Find My Device (with their approval of course). No location tracking, only to make it ring even when on silence.
Sincerely,

A lesson on user experience & 1st impressions.
Bought a LARQ bottle. When activating, app asks if it's a 680ml bottle or a 1000ml bottle, and what's the color.
My instant reaction: "Why do I have to tell you this? You sold it to me. You packaged it. It has a serial number. You should know."

Weather?
(I'm taking the Elizabeth line or the Heathrow Express on Friday to catch a BA flight back to Portugal. I hope. 😅)
Happy to give feedback on the concept!
In there any repo calling out which rich-text collaboration tools have and haven't implemented the "paste URL to turn selection into link" UI pattern?
I think some naming and shaming is in order. 😈
Ok, I'm not alone then. Turns out, that one cancels cancelling the case. We need to OK to cancel the case.
What's more annoying: none of the options actually responds the question being asked.
Are you sure you want to cancel this case? (Cancel) (OK)
What would you (instinctively) do if you really want to cancel the case?

Há umas semanas aceitei o desafio do podcast Tekya Talks.
Uma experiência muito interessante e diferente do habitual, ao ser "obrigado" a refletir sobre os primórdios e momentos-chave que foram moldando o meu percurso.

Yesterday was porn bots, today I'm getting bot-looking US politics follows. 🙄
Started getting particularly hammered by spam follows today.
Spammy followers already moved over here. Ugh!
It's 2025. We've *all* been using video calls *extensively* for *at least* 5 years. (8 in my case). We *know* how to share our screen. It works.
Let's all finally move away from
❌ "can you see my screen?" + Wait for yes
to
✅ "you should see my screen now, shout if you don't" + carry on
I use 1 second of hazard lights for that.
My 2024 in books. 👀
Had the movie on my list, your post made me HAVE TO watch it. Zero regrets. Thank you!
(The last 20-30 minutes really put one's suspension of disbelief to the test, but it's still solid adrenaline-filled entertainment.)
I.e. on video every single conversation happens in a setup that our brains interpret as something that requires pumping your body up (e.g. confrontation), so raises your heart rate.
There's more than that. In real life, you don't spend half an hour speaking with someone with your faces 50cm apart all the time.
(Also, on video, even in a group meeting, you're like that with everyone. There's e.g. no one beside you.)
Funny you mention speakers built-in on the monitor, I've been jilting for so long and just this week I decided to give them a second opportunity for ambient music. Never thought about "sound coming from the faces" but it makes so much sense!
Other people (not) having a good mic = reason I've never given to using any type of speaker for calls.
Makes much more sense now. 😅
Webcam mic any good? I've always found it to be the worst option in my tests.
Off topic, what's that thing under your webcam?
The boom arm can work as mute/unmute, but it clashes too much with my glasses to use it as such. 😅
Upgraded audio trumps upgraded video, that's for sure
