Well, Section 230 provides a shield from civil litigation to social media platforms for the removal and restriction of THIRD-PARTY content on their website; whether such material is 'constitutionally protected' or not. With the caveat that these actions be performed in "good faith".

How could they possibly moderate their platform? Deleting accounts, and removing content that they deem inappropriate would be impossible as it could easily be seen as infringing on the rights of their users.
