It is often an option of last resort for me, albeit every time I go to look at it I see something different, find a different angle… all within 200ft.

WIP Weekend
The Huts, I had seen these photographed many times, and much better, but had the opportunity to see them for myself.
Ideally I would have cut the four cabin off given the solar panel on the roof but I wanted to retain the third set of stairs.

WIP Weekend
This weekend work in progress shot is from a trip to the Lofoten Islands in April 2019.
Another photograph from Saturday’s very short evening stroll into the woods.
This was taken on my phone and I’m sure will be better than what I took on the camera!
Absolutely Dammo but it’s always just one persons perspective and opinion. Which is one of the reasons I love photography and art.

So uplifting to see the bluebells arriving and this is early. Such beautiful light shining on the blue carpet.
The sharp and piercing eye of the hare holds your attention in this study of a beautiful animal
The snow falling in the forest. The scene is magical with the diagonal lines created by the snow contrasting with the vertical lines of the trees.
The female fox moving through the scene lines up with the rows of daffodils. Such a lovely composition.

A late flurry of snow bringing some beautiful conditions to a local woodland for only a short period of time.
The forecast was for more snow overnight and the next day but it failed to deliver so I was pleased to have forced myself out the evening before.

The winter has been a bit of a miss for me this year, plenty of snow but in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It was lovely to see the forecast suggesting a morning flurry nearby so I ventured out and managed to get an hour before conditions changed.

An early start on Friday morning, destination in mind, mist forecast.
The drive there, mile after mile of mist and then nothing. You could see the morning dew on the other side of the loch. Plans changed, new location, and it turned out to be a good morning.
