Alice Wong, writer and disability activist, has died. She was an educator and a communicator and a warrior who lit the way. I’m grateful to have crossed paths with her. Rest in peace.

Just heard @sfdirewolf.bsky.social has passed. Had the good fortune to speak to her once a matter, it was just an incredibly enlightening, inspiring and intense meeting. My condolences to everyone she touched in this life.

They do repurpose a lot of songs now, so we never know! They used to have a lot more originals in movies, songs created just for the film. I miss those days!

Such a fun one! I forgot this. Love the story of how this movie came together. I figured it was original like a lot of other songs created in musicals. I'm more surprised when I learn a song is real.

Far-right whites may have secretly rejoiced.
Even politicians like the Georgia governor and local lawmakers, who had been active in attracting factories, have shifted their stance and sympathized with their grievances. This is likely because it's difficult to ignore the anti-immigrant sentiment of native Americans. Like the McCarthyism that swept through American society in the 1950s, irrational madness dominates American society. The recent visa issue, which could have been resolved diplomatically with advance notice from an ally, is difficult to explain beyond political maneuvering. The fact that they mobilized helicopters and armored vehicles for show, as if they had been caught, is difficult to explain.

Korea's leading press agency publishes accounts from the Hyundai/LG employees and execs who were brutalized, put in chains and subjected to hours of racist taunts by Trump's secret police... much of which was comically ignorant (ICE agents called them "Rocket Men"). Needs US translation.

Their waists and hands were tied together, forcing them to bend down and lick water to drink. The unscreened bathrooms contained only a single sheet to cover their lower bodies. Sunlight barely penetrated through a fist-sized hole, and they were only allowed access to the small yard for two hours. Detained by US immigration authorities for eight days, the workers and their families expressed shock, describing human rights violations and absurdities they could not have imagined as ordinary Koreans living in 2025.

Finally have some downtime. It feels good to finally start outlining the new series I'm producing. It's been an amazing week, making great connections, being asked to join the board of an amazing organization, and getting a thumbs up on my first choice for the big project.

Google announces $3.3B investment in SC data centers, 200 new jobs • SC Daily Gazette Google will invest $3.3 billion in SC data centers and add 200 new jobs in Dorchester County as legislators debate their energy needs.

In South Carolina, it’s projected that data centers will account for 65 to 70% of the state’s new energy usage.

While residents pay more, the companies score reduced rates.

Google was given an electricity rate that amounts to less than half of what South Carolina residents pay.
