Não há diálogos nessa página, apenas o narrador, que diz: “Dazai estava, ao menos, certo sobre algo: ele não tem culpa quanto ao ouro. A raiva que Nico sente se espalha muito mais rápido, fere muito mais fundo que qualquer irritação ocasionada pelo jogo de palavras afiadas e beijos urgentes ao qual os dois se dispõem todas as noites.” O último quadro encerra a página com Nico virando a cabeça e erguendo seus olhos para algo na parede atrás de sua cama.
