What a fantastic conference writeup from @macwright.com, one of the many of you I'm kicking myself for not having a chance to meet

A little step: working on an AppView and small Lexicon to make contribution information modular and transparent - so it is easier to signal if you're looking for support, and how to provide it; will have the repo public soon, and hope to get the alpha public later this week - feedback welcome!

There were so many people… I’m going to be moving back to Vancouver this year, so I’ll be around

The @danabra.mov thing he demoed blew my mind the most … I’m going to dig into that

Definitely enjoyed #ATmosphereConf … super inspired by various talks and hallway conversations. I think next year there’s going to be a lot of talk of going “on protocol”.

Dear lord this talk is good. It's been drawing me in, step by step, since it kicked off. So fucking meta, the wizard of Oz material was everything. Also the Norbert Weiner stuff. And the automotive stuff. Well played @case.bsky.social. thank you #atmosphereconf 2026

The only thing I'm disappointed about #atmosphereconf is that @bmann.ca didn't take my suggestion to call the afterparty "A World With Caesars"

🚨 the ecosystem is delicate #atmosphereconf

there's a LOT of enthusiasm + talent, but:

- no magical investor monies
- grant options are THIN
- many first time founders
- many don't want investment
- few other options
- scary macro env

it's a collective challenge

we can just pay for things?

Digital Iris YouTube video by Ancient

"Animated Bokeh" has been on my whiteboard for a long time, and this is the result.

I thought it would just be for cheesy novelty effects, but it also does lightfield manipulation that was cooler than I expected.

Building for Organizers - The People Layer The most enduring social networks aren’t the prettiest or the most addictive – it’s the ones that empower organizers.

Been mulling over @bnewbold.net's recent post on community spaces and atproto's next frontiers. I wrote about why building for organizers (not just users) might be the key to making it all work.

Finally figured out how to get blackbox exporter monitoring working with prometheus operator and Probe resources. It immediately flagged that I had an expired SSL cert … turns out I had a typo in a YAML file. :-)

JetBrains GoLand IDE showing sqlite3 bindings written in Go.

I'm still writing code the hard way. I'm slow. I like to think critically about every line of code and fiddle with variable names until everything looks right. I treat code as a liability and try to ship only what's necessary.

It's hard to imagine writing code any other way.

This is *huge*

A while back, I was concerned about ATProto platforms using different lexicons diverging and fragmenting the space, but the long-formers (@leaflet.pub @pckt.blog @offprint.app) are setting an incredible example of how to build together 👏🏼

More of this, please!
