I'm sorry this is happening to you. It's been a shitty year for this stuff all around. Hope you're doing OK!

I enjoyed it! It's very ambitious and there's some fantastic writing in it.

And here I was thinking they couldn't possibly reach the levels of good cheese the first movie had. I'm so happy to be wrong.

Lee Cronin's The Mummy struggles to nail a tone or style Overlong and surprisingly dull, The Mummy is more interested in repeating other classic horror films to develop a style of its own.

The first act of Lee Cronin's The Mummy is a horrifying and superbly crafted mix of myth and family terror. Everything after that is a dull slog. It's one of the more frustrating films I've seen this year. #filmsky

I can't stand being on camera nor the attention it brings. But the fact is every video I've made has had ten times the audience of a written piece. I recognize I must change, but there's a real sense that it would be healthier to give up altogether.

Heads or Tails is a love letter to Spaghetti Westerns Sumptuously filmed and wonderfully acted, this melancholy Spaghetti Western is a treat for fans of the great European tradition.

I grew up with Spaghetti Westerns, so I was predisposed to love Heads or Tails?, the delightfully odd film making its debut digitally. It isn't perfect, and it doesn't make a lot of sense, but it's full of the bittersweet melancholy that I love about this genre. regionfree.net/heads-or-tai...

Review: Mouse: P.I. for Hire is hugely ambitious but flawed Mouse: P.I. For Hire is beautiful and has a beautiful soundtrack. It's the rest that gives me pause.

MOUSE: P.I. for Hire looks gorgeous, and the soundtrack is a banger. But it's also tonally messy, with weird modern-day memes and pop culture references, and bloated levels that drag on for too long. I admire its passion, even if I don't love it. #indiegame regionfree.net/mouse-p-i-fo...

Today is a busy review day. First up is Replaced, which I reviewed in Finnish for KonsoliFIN. I really enjoyed this one, not least because of its astoundingly beautiful animations and impeccable art style. Fans of Another World will be in heaven. #indiegame www.konsolifin.net/arvostelu/yk...

a man with suspenders and a tie says that 's just crazy ' Alt: Heads of Xbox reaction upon given a reasonable suggestion.

I've got this really wild, borderline crazy idea: charging for individual and finished games that don't take ten years to develop and offering consumers their preferred method of ownership.

Review: Pragmata is a Game of the Year contender An innovative and bold genre cocktail that is packed with incredible set pieces and gameplay-first joy, Pragmata is Capcom at its finest.

Pragmata is the encapsulation of everything Capcom has learned from four decades of generational bangers. It is part sci-fi thriller, part puzzle game, and even a surprisingly touching drama about found families that hooked me from the first minute to the last. #gaming regionfree.net/pragmata-pla...

Notebook for first drafts, then either Pages on my MacBook or Google Docs if I'm going between platforms. I need to find one solution that works for both PC and Mac, but so far none have managed to overtake my love for Pages.

I remember stopping and pausing for the longest time, looking up to see my college professor just making the "yeah, you read it right" face, and continuing with some complex feelings about the matter.

Wait wait wait, you directed this? That's so cool! I really enjoyed it when I saw it on the festival circuit. I remember it hit that difficult middle ground between thrilling and terrifying, with a fantastic sense of pacing. Great use of Fiona Shaw and Jonathan Price, too.
