I have dark skies at home, not sure why this surprised me so much tbh. But walking along the lanes and village outskirts in an unfamiliar place in the pitch black was a bit tricky though.

I've left the Shire. To a little village where they don't do street lights. Except to mark their pub.

Saw this among the heavy dew this morning....

I'd never seen a brocken spectre in the wild before. Camera not great at picking it up. Much better in real life! This morning was magical.
