A cat in the corner of a chair seat, walled on two sides by lego-style blocks. Text reads: She just sat contented in the comfy chair as I built this up around her I call this installation “The Cat of Amontillado.”
Poe would have loved this.

What a privilege it is to get old. What a privilege it is to show signs of aging. What a privilege it is to not have passed at a young age. What a privilege it is to have smile lines, wrinkles, graying hair, healing scars, and other signs your body has lived for years. What a privilege it is to get old.
A skeleton rising to the light via festive balloons.
I have a major birthday milestone coming up very very soon that fills me equally with two emotions.
I consulted with one of our librarians that the book was likely from his personal collection that was donated back to his Alma Mater after his death.
She seems like a good counselor. We had a good rapport right off the bat and she did a great job of seeing the big picture in all the stuff I was talking about. So I'm feeling confident.
This image shows a person sitting on a bench seat inside a train or subway car, holding a large, fluffy dog on their lap. The dog has a thick, light gray to tan coat with a darker face, and its tongue is hanging out as it appears happily panting. The person is wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. The dog's leash is visible, and the person's hand is gently holding it. The window by their side lets in natural light, and blurred passengers can be seen seated further along the train.
Has science gone too far?

Had a fun time today onboarding with my new counselor so we could work on my claustrophobia anxiety that is wrecking me when I get into my big costumes now.
She was taking notes until I showed her a pic of the minotaur.
Her: WOAH... ok, I could see how that is challenging.
New Local 58!!! Wooooo!

a wizard (why’s pfp), a skeleton minion (Claude) approached “i’ve read through your notifications, they wish to harm you m’lord” close up on the wizard “oh dear… block them all.” the skeleton minion crawls away “yes m’lord, Claude shall block the non-believers, yes…”
But maybe I should weaponize this story to add some mystique to a guy playing Poe?
I feel like this would be a story that would go into a biography about a guy who plays Edgar Allan Poe as some sort of indicator of Gothic eccentricity, but I was just bored and it was the only place to go that wasn't woods.
Also, I saw the cemetery every day, it was just normal, at least to me.
In high school I developed my serious night-owl tendencies (which I still struggle with today). This being pre-internet days, I would get bored at night, sneak out of my house and wander around the cemetery at like 2am. I did this a lot.
a lovely matte painting from poltergeist showing the cemetery, very crowded with headstones that seem too close together for some reason over looking a new subdivision
I grew up in a rural area in a small subdivision which was just about 20 houses with nothing around for a few miles except for the largest cemetery in the county which was on the side of a hill directly across the highway from the houses. Like the one in Poltergeist, but less dramatic looking.
Back in @newyorkcomiccon after a very long day of cosplaying, we were walking back to baggage claim and look who we ran into!
I was STUNNED to see @unsightedpoet so obviously first thing I did was chase him around.
I even got to white girl dance with him! 😭
I feel like that could be a limerick.
There once was a Frenchman in Beijing,
Whose experience with bread was amazing,
those students were proof
his teaching was no goof
Even the customers all were creaming!
(Creaming is a baking term for combining butter and sugar together)
i didn't read the article either. it's just my go-to good bread
omg Harvard Divinity School just found an original John Hancock signature in a book from his time there in 1754.
I LOVE that.
I once found an original Vincent Price signature in a book from our drama school. I eventually returned it to circulation.

I was slowly cooking and needed a break. Sometimes, I get so warm and toasty, that I just slowly fall asleep inside of Werewolf Wolverine.

I don't usually post pictures because I like keeping them as memories, but I figure why not share with the people in them and everyone else.
Here are some fun moments from @megaconorlando.bsky.social

A painting of Lucifer tempting Jesus in the desert. Lucifer is INCREDIBLY naked, dirty, and lurid, rubbing up ons Jesus' robes from behind; his hand is open in offering and is placed in front of Jesus' crotch
I just re-found this painting, which was in a kid's bible I had growing up. I used to obssess over it, and I'm pretty sure seeing Lucifer here was the first time I thought a man was attractive? Over the years I'd think "it couldn't possibly be as horny as I remember it", but I mean come ON

Amazed at the poetic velocity with which bluesky administration went from “we use AI to code, everyone does it, you’re all just stupid plebes living in the past” to the entire site shitting itself on every front. It was like two weeks
Someone made this just to comment on something I posted 😭😭😭 its so cute!!!
