Finished off #downcemeteryroad which was ok, at least two eipsodes two long, implausible in so many places. It so wanted to hae the vibe of Slow Horses but misses the mark by not being confident in what it really wanted to be.

Watched #TheRip on Netflix and decent action film and well worth a watch. Kind of film that should be on a the cinema but we are where we are and it's still a good solid film.

Finally got around to #Frankenstein a very faithful adaptation by Del Torro with both of the Isaac and Elordi giving good performances and of course it looked great. Best film so far this year.
m.imdb.com/title/tt1312...
Second film in a row which was a bit meh.... #ifihadlegsidkickyou while Rose Byrne puts it all out there performance wise and deserves the plaudits she's getting i found the film tough to get through, giving up halfway through but getting back to finish.

Following last years films and TV list we start again with #OneBattleAfterAnother and will admit was let down by it. Sure it's interesting and has some good stuff in it, but why is it on so many best film lists I'm note sure.
Disappointed. m.imdb.com/title/tt3014...
And thats it 2025 all done.....missed a lot this year, need to binge watch a lot over next few months.....catch you next year.
And following Murphys performance another one by Ethan Hawke in #Bluemoon which should trouble the award season this year. Wasn't fully taken by the film but interesting nether the less. Andrew Scott also very good.

Cillian Murphy goes through the ringer in #Steve a terrific performance in tough film about troubled kids in a run down, understaffed special school. Great turn by Tracey Ullman as his assistant and the main lad is excellent. Catch it on Netflix well worth it.

Watched the new documentary on Netflix #1975breakdown bit of social history mixed alongside film history. Doesn't quite hit the mark and a bit all over the place but enjoyable as a look back to the 70's and snippets of great films is always good to see.

Enjoyed the #springsteen film, yes slow paced, a bit of a downer, and all the hotter for it in my eyes. I think if you like the album your get the film. Can see why it didn't do as great as hoped, but Jeremy Allen White captured him well.

What a Hidden gem #deathbylightning turned out to be. Four part mini series about the 20th president of the USA and his assassin. Interesting as I didn't know the stroy, good performances especially by Matthew Macfadyan. Not sure been much in UK but worth checking out.

Clearly enjoying the role, I just felt he was secondary in this film and phones it in. If they make a fourth he needs to be front and centre
Wake up Dead Man or Knives Out 3, was better than the second film, less intricate than the first and less for the supporting cast to do. Josh O'Connor steals the show, Craig I felt rings his performance in. Close may get a supporting nod. Passes the time.

Finally got to see Alien: Romulus after a couple of flash starts since it came out. Clearly made by someone who loved the first two films and could see all the references to Alien and Aliens and others, almost like a greatest hits film. Enjoyed it,will their be a sequel?

Enjoyed #jaykelly and as a Clooney fan I knew it would be self indulgent but in all honesty I couldn't care less. Adam Sandler is good and fun to see a load of but parts played by British actors. If you like George then.itsnfor you, if nit you're probably hate it.
m.imdb.com/title/tt3044...
Joel Edgerton is excellent in #traindreams a beautiful film, reminiscent of Malick at his best. A story of one man's life, loves and losses. Much talk of Netflix type bland movies and this is completely opposite to that. One of the best films of the year.
m.imdb.com/title/tt2976...
Well #houseofguinness was good fun. Steven Knight treads the same plot lines as he did with Peaky Blinders by weaving them into this tail of everyday irish family who run a brewery. Im sold on it.
m.imdb.com/title/tt1354...
Caught up with the walkers on #thelongwalk a really good adaptation of a Stephen King book. The young leads carry the film well, with plenty to keep the viewer interested. As good as i hoped.
m.imdb.com/title/tt1037...
Watched #theroses a decent remake/adaptation, Colman and Cumberbatch good in the leads and great dialogue between them at times. Maybe last 20 mins a bit too much OTT but overall decent film and all down to the two leads. m.imdb.com/title/tt3197...
Finished #Task one of the best series this year, Mark Ruffalo absolutely quality all yhe way though, his acting in the court scene monologue up there with some best acting ive seen. Recommend. m.imdb.com/title/tt2801...
Finally finished #thehack David Tennant was very good as was Robert Carlyle, well written, clever cameos and direction but ultimately no real conclusion because that's exactly what has happened, in the end did much change with press?
m.imdb.com/title/tt3561...
Found myself watching #margincall as was looking for a finance based movie which wasn't The Big Short(great film) and had forgotten how good this was with a great cast.
m.imdb.com/title/tt1615...
Also watched this week #theperfectneighbor a documentary with no commentary, mainly made up of Police bodycam footage. Watched with my wife and we certainly had different views on the outcome, recommend watch.
m.imdb.com/title/tt3496...
On to #ahouseofdynamite which really liked, tense, split into three sections, yes the ending will upset many but for me it all fitted in well. Big fan of Kathryn Bigelow films and this up there as one of her best.
m.imdb.com/title/tt3237...
Similar situation with the to watch list just out of hand on films and TV.
Ha, well yes that helps ease it. As I said it's ok.
Didn't follow up Black Rabbit and haven't watched a lot in last month. I'm in bed ill so caught up with sequal to The Old Guard... Surprisingly called #TheOldGuard2 not as bad as led to believe but be surprised if Part 3 is ever made, it was ok. m.imdb.com/title/tt1496...
First episode of #blackrabbit done...
I don't know, not sure I'm up for another 7 eipsodes of it. Anyone watched more of it?
m.imdb.com/title/tt2305...
While away finally after a couple of false starts finally did a double bill binge of #Dune 1 & 2. Epic filmmaking and visually brilliant. Distilled a complex story into quite a simple arc and with plans for a third this exceeded my expectations

Second film was one of my favs and one I rewatch every year. #moneyball and seeing it again so soon after F1 show that Pitt still has that charm and easy going way he had during this brilliant film.
