I love the mess from a morning of reading and writing. No, I’m not suddenly studying astronomy (though it might be considered), just strengthening the metaphors for my poems. 🤗🌎✨ #WriteSky #BookSky

On Reading Sad Books and Not Knowing The Answers initial rant turned possibly metaphorical about being human and annoyed with AI

An initial free-write blog post, which I think ended up becoming a somewhat metaphorical, almost-poetic-prose? ✨ On reading sad books, being human & feeling annoyed with AI. 🙂‍↕️📚 #AmWriting #Substack #Booksky

A book and a cup of latte in a cozy cafe.

A book and a cup of latte in a cozy cafe.

In the mood for a cozy (and witchy!) read this lovely, cozy winter morning. 🥰✨ Doing ‘Secret Society of Irregular Witches’ for a book club. What’s your current read? #BookSky

Truly! Especially when we’ve been doubting ourselves and hungry for new ideas, when really, the story has been inside us all along. 🥹 And ooh, I had that one line pitch moment, it felt so good! 🤩🙌🏼 #AmWriting

When you wildly write messy drafts you don’t think make sense, and you start recognizing recurring themes.

Write. Write wildly.

Loving the ‘Increments of a Story’ exercise by @writershq.bsky.social and wow the way these iterations give away the stuff staying rent-free in my head. 😄 #AmWriting #WriterSky

I hear my father’s cough two oceans away poetic prose crafted wildly in a cafe

Poetic prose. I’m not sure how to describe my writing other than how it’s written wildly from my heart, as cliche as that sounds. 🙂‍↕️⚡️ more on substack:

There is a woman cradling her child at this cafe It’s been an hour and she sits on the same spot of the same couch she sank in Thursday morning, her child’s right foot digging the folds of her waist, her stretch marks finding belonging and she shift...

Wrote a little something about a woman at the cafe, while I was at the cafe.

Back with Hai and Grazina. Paused this before the winter break because it didn’t seem practical to bring thick hardcovers with my travels. Let’s see if this might be my first 2026 completed read. #BookSky #OceanVuong

The best gift to myself, you can’t convince me otherwise. Now I’m just waiting for the dark. 😂✨💡

Also, that bedside mess is my favourite kind of mess as a book lover. 🥰📚 Tell me I’m not the only one!

I cannot emphasize just how excited I am about this electronic dictionary bookmark! 😂

I’m always googling definitions while reading, but smartphones are just TOO distracting.

But THIS?

Where the Noise Ends Words written and read this week.

Imagine a near future where society is so exhausted that time with nature becomes compulsory… and your best friend is an AI hologram.🤔

Wrote a flash fiction piece on this, with a short reflective post on my reading journey this year. ✨ Read them on Substack linked below 🥰 #WritingCommunity #BookSky

A photo of a cup of latte and a copy of David Szalay’s novel, ‘Fresh’.

I don’t just want to read. I want to linger over latte art, feel the warmth of coffee touching my lips, wait for the right light to capture them on camera, spill my inner monologues on the last blank pages of my journal.

I don’t just want to read. I want to disappear into another world.

You’re right! Journaling these lines makes me realize what exactly I’m drawn to, in terms of language and themes. Makes me learn more of who I am too. Btw I just looked up Sue Monk Kidd’s book 😍 thanks for sharing!

I would usually pause between my reads to journal my favourite lines. And when the journaled pages keep going and going, I’d know that it’s a great book, it’s a favourite. Currently reading Lucy Steeds’ ‘The Artist’, and it has that AND page-turning suspense. Amazing. Do you journal too? #BookSky

Book club night. ☺️✨ Such magic, being in a room of shared love for literature, all of us holding the same books, different opinions, and the same longing for those warm cinnamon rolls 😛 on a cold winter night. I love that we were discussing such a fitting title too! #BookSky #BookClub

A photo of scribbled rough drafts in a journal with a cup of coffee on the side, and an overlay of a poem about how to write a poem.

A poem on how to write a poem. 😄✍🏽

My initial drafts were ‘How to Collect Stamps’, ‘How to Find the Right Time To Freeze Your Feelings’, ‘How to Get a Free Cup of Coffee’, among others. 😄

In between the scribbled rough drafts and overthinking, I realized THAT was my poem!
