We’re suing the Trump-Vance administration for threatening to conduct mass firings of federal employees if the government shuts down tonight.

Using people’s livelihoods as a bargaining chip is both cruel and illegal. That’s why we’ve joined forces with unions to protect these vital jobs.

WOW. The lead plaintiff is a Latino man who's been here legally for 24 years. He was grabbed off the street by plainclothes federal agents who didn't even ASK about his status.

He was detained overnight and only released once a supervisor realized he had been illegally arrested.

What If Losing in Court Means Trump is Actually Losing at Everything? Imagine how many more lawsuits the Trump administration is going to lose in the next 100 days.

Dahlia Lithwick checks in w/ Skye Perryman, President & CEO of
@democracyforward.org “to help explore how some recent wins in court against Trump 2.0 are upending the administration’s attempt to style itself as an all-powerful unitary authority.”

BREAKING: Trump Justice Department asks Supreme Court to reinstate trans military ban blocked by courts The Department of Justice is asking the court to set aside a lower court’s block on the anti-trans policy.

“What the Trump admin is doing is irrational because trans service members like Commander Shilling, who we’re representing, who has flown over 60 combat missions, serve with distinction and honor. There’s no reason for this ban beyond bigotry.” – @lambdalegalceo.bsky.social via @advocate.com

FBI director says arrested judge for obstructing immigration operation FBI Director Kash Patel on Friday said federal agents arrested a Wisconsin judge on obstruction charges in a message Patel posted on X and later deleted.

From our CEO @skyeperryman.bsky.social:

"As the Trump administration continues to lose in court, it attacks lawyers and judges. These attacks are designed to deter people from defending their rights and seeking their day in court. We will continue to ensure they do not succeed."

BREAKING: A federal judge finds Trump’s order banning transgender people from getting accurate passports is likely unconstitutional.

The court ordered the State Department to allow correct gender markers for our clients as we continue to argue until this order is blocked for everyone.

Opinion | A Playbook for Law Firms and Colleges to Stand Up to President Trump (Gift Article) Law firms and universities do not need to capitulate. Here’s how they can fight back.

“Standing up to the abuse of power is inherently difficult. It can also be inspiring. People who do so often look back proudly on their actions and are justly celebrated for it after a crisis has passed.”
