i think the most unexpected change since getting a cat has been me unironically calling my boyfriend “daddy” when talking about him to my kitten (because he is that feline’s father)

our household hierarchy of needs is my boyfriend spoils and takes care of me, i in turn handle caring for and spoiling our kitty, and the kitty heals us both with it’s mere presence. i think it’s a pretty solid deal
