Been experimenting with another gaming engine that is has way more granular control but it’s more pure code than visual editor. Monogame. This is just a tutorial I followed. I might switch to this engine for @hawkstonegame.com

Like many Australians, I am deeply saddened by the horrendous acts of violence carried out at Bondi Beach. Hate & terror have no place on our soil. I extend my deepest condolences to those who are mourning loved ones they've lost. Hate & terrorism will not divide us as a nation.

Late night motivation to code. Must fight the temptation and sleep.

Doh! Soon as I submitted a report to Bluesky support about a twitchy glitchy issue with my follower feed it just righted itself. Ah well, at least it's working now.

It’s so nice since using the @godotengine.org for my game in the last four months that they are constantly updating it (while being open source).

Still around. Still building. Been busy working on the game, Bluesky.

Thank you ☺️

I did see #FantasticFour and it was brilliant. They finally got it right. And seeing Galactus in all his gargantuan glory was awesome. Definitely a movie to see on the big screen if you ever get the chance. Anywho back to building my game.

Another year around the sun 🎉

Nice. I should consider that for my game. Enabling more players around the world to enjoy it just makes sense to me.

Ah cool, GameMaker. I’m using Gadot but I’ve heard of GameMaker.

Congrats! Looks amazing. I’m just starting my own journey, must be very rewarding seeing the final thing that you pictured in your head come to life on screen

Animation test for one of the characters in the game @hawkstonegame.com. Walking sequence accounts for walking up, down, left, right, and diagonally up and down. More animation sequences to go, obviously. Jumping, swords, magic etc...

Concept pixel art for the indie game HawkStone that is currently being developed. This is the inside of a dwelling, with an old worn wooden cupboard in one corner, a bed with a sword on it, a green rug with a wooden table. On the table is some cheese, a potion and a candle. In the other corner is a bookshelf with a skull on it, and an old antique cracked vase. Two characters are in here, one is wearing a brown robe with a belt and black hair, the other a green vest with a hood over their head. The exit/entrance to the dwelling is behind the green hooded character. This is a 2D style pixel top down perspective.

The house is in a green field, with a tree to the left, some tree stumps to the sides of the house. The house itself has a wooden thatched roof, and the walls are made of large stone and logs. The door is wooden, and there is a wooden barrel to the front of the house just off to the right. There are a few tufts of taller grass to the right of this house. More concept art for @hawkstonegame.com , players will be able to enter dwellings, interact with NPCs to get info, find quests and items. Some houses will be bigger (hell, you may even find a castle)

I needed to include some pixel concept art for my game where there's lakes & bridges, other types of plant life, stairs etc. Also wanted to get a feel for what it might look like where scenes pan for a player.
