Day 1

My New Year’s resolution is to have a 2025 Spotify Wrapped that I am not too embarrassed to share. (Actually, Apple Replay, but you get my point).

This expression clearly means, “are you ever gonna be done grading?”

Classes are over. Now waiting for the take-home finals to start rolling in.

Sign that it’s end of semester crunch time? I was half way to campus when I realized I forgot to put on makeup. At least I’m not still in my pjs. I’ll take it as a win.

I watched few episodes but it was a bit too grounded for me. I need a little silliness.

I’m very behind but now that it’s over I’m planning a cozy winter binge.

So happy to have finally found Smash streaming on Peacock. I’m getting ready to go see it in previews on Broadway this spring!

I saw Wicked Part 1 this afternoon. I do recommend the film but don’t go expecting a whimsical escape. It hits very close to home for 2024. (My full review is on FB).

I was an RTF major. I read fiction (aka curl up with good books) but listen to nonfiction via audible and history podcasts.

Ugh… gonna have to completely rewrite/re-record my lesson on the FCC and media regulation/ownership for spring 2025 now that section 230 is on the chopping block.

So impressed with my students. The theme of our semester is media consolidation/ownership. I walked into class yesterday and they are all discussing the Comcast/ NBCUniversal spinoff news.

My students did not know that Netflix used to send DVDs in the mail. They thought I was joking. I had to show them a Netflix commercial so they’d believe me. 😕
