Its a difficult #FebMusicChallenge26 today, not because the brief is hard but because there may be several songs you could choose. Even I have two choices today and they were hard to pin down to 2 😆

Book cover for The Dad Trap by Ian Eagleton which I managed to pick up on my Boxing Day bookshop trip and was my last read of 2025. It deals so sensitively and authentically with a number of issues, including divorce, neurodivergence, homophobia, friendship and mental health struggles whilst still managing to be hilarious and super-readable. Great stuff.

Book cover for Donut Squad: Make a Mess by Neill Cameron. My pre-order for this arrived the other day but was immediately stolen by my youngest. I very much look forward reading it when I can steal it back!

I think a gentle start to a new year of #KidsBooksFriday is in order. Did anyone (or the kids in your lives) get any good books over Christmas or is there anything you’re particularly looking forward to reading in 2026? My suggestions in the photos / captions.
