"There is no divide between Trump and me on the President's threat to annex Canada" - Keith Starmer toadying up to Trump. This was a total surprise to me, but apparently Starmer is a serial offender on this. Commentators ascribed it to abject cowardice: 'Starmer avoided rattling Trump's Cage'.
Keir Starmer is the new Neville Chamberlin.
The recent exhibition was fantastic.
John Rustad spent weeks refusing to stand against tariffs. Then, when BC Conservatives could vote to condemn Trump's attacks on Canada’s sovereignty, five voted no. Meet the MLAs who wouldn’t stand up for Canada —share their names so everyone knows.
Totally Trump’s type; a snivelling little sycophant who’ll sell out Canada at the drop of a MAGA cap.

Fun knowing all the songs in the top 20.
Trying out the tulip vase I bought in Amsterdam last autumn. I like the drama created by the swoop and curls. #tulips #flowers #springtime

A front or stuck in their bubble with no access to alternative view points. Just reflecting on a bigoted taxi driver experience I had at Christmas and how my one question seemed to give them pause for thought.
Canadians, don't lecture Americans.
If you need to use their political environment as a warning, sure. Please don't talk as if we're some sort of paradise of tolerance. We have literal Nazis in our streets. We are teetering on the same edge.
Pretending we're not runs defence for our fascists.
I saw this quote yesterday in The Guardian. I guess I agree with it but when it’s now quite apparent the world is dealing with a madman, how do you not over-dramatise?
The Barbican Centre posted some amazing relatively recent shots on their Insta. It still remains a beaut of a brute.
And PP here is taking notes.
The problem with the "Team Canada" approach was on full display last week in Washington.
Premiers were uncoordinated, unprepared and apparently even refused to accept support from the feds. The trip did more harm than good.
There is something to be learned from "Europe United".
Best wishes for a happy birthday.
Tina Turner and Larry Mullen Jr. Tina was in a more controlled environment. Larry was in the mystery section of a Chapters in Toronto.

I’d very like to know how you manage this so they don’t impact the reason you’re out there in the first place, your mental health. I ask because I experience a lot of this and more while biking our local trail and I feel it’s not helping with my MH. I get angry and then obsess about the encounter.
And as Prime Minister, I will Deregulate the Safety, Defund the Services, Avoid the Media, Subsidize the Wealthy, Harness the Lightning, Welcome the US, Speak the Anglo-Saxon, Cancel the Diversity, Abandon the Commoners, Celebrate the Mediocrity, Crash the Economy, and keep blaming Trudeau.
Pierre Poilievre, wrong choice, wrong time.
Very bleak. And Canadians wonder why they are not getting any support over the sabre rattling coming from the White House.
Once again I am leaving the Munich Security Conference in a low mood. Amongst all the noise, the US signalled their plans for Europe, so things are becoming clearer. But things are clearly not good.
This is what we now know, and what we have to do about it:🧵1/17
At Paddington? I was quite intrigued with it when I was there at Christmas.
It’s being used in an ad for a bank here in Canada. I’m going out on a limb and assuming the person behind that decision had no clue what the song is about.
I’m happy to follow you.
Took a walk through Victoria’s Beacon Hill Park and just had to get a picture of that splash of red amidst the winter landscape.
