I haven’t been in the discourse surrounding A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms but I am really enjoying it so far. Though I’m sucker for a big lovable idiot

I just finished #redrising and first I wasn’t really feeling it but the last third of the book came straight from the hell yea factory and made me want to fight god. Very fun and quite badass.

The statues knocking on the doors were extremely interesting and actually terrifying, and then he ends the chapter with "...dangled a limp boy-child aloft by the head as if the saint were being fellated..." followed a paragraph later with more child SA. #betweentwofires

I am having a difficult time understanding why Between Two Fires is so highly rated. The author will do something mildly interesting then punctuate it with child sexual assault for no reason other than shock value pulling me out of the story completely. Its fucking weird man.

I just finished The Butcher's Masquerade. 12/10 no notes. Perfect from start to finish. Gonna cry. Gonna read it again. Gonna cry some more.

I am going to try out my first #larp this weekend as an NPC. Any tips or tricks from the pros? It's set in a Dark Fantasy setting, and the forecast is looking like it's going to be insanely hot.

I took a break from #dcc because I was burning through them so fast. Curse you Dinniman for making such engaging books. Since then, though, I have finished The Hobbit & The Fellowship. It has reaffirmed how quickly/easily I would throw it back for Aragorn. #lotr

Just finished Gate of the Feral Gods. After spending 10 minutes walking around muttering "Holy shit.", I think this is how I would rank them:

- The last 25% of book 4
- *big gulf*
- Book 2
- Book 3
- Book 1 (book 1/2/3 are all pretty close imo)
- The first 75% of book 4
