These storms didn't just happen. The Dust Bowl is the worst man-made ecological disaster in U.S. History.
#OnThisDayinHistory April 14, 1935 - Black Sunday. A massive storm crossed six states carrying 300,000 tons of topsoil--more soil than was excavated to create the Panama Canal. That project took 7 years. The storm lasted a single afternoon.
