Be there in however long it takes to drive from West MI. We're a little obsessed (see book we made and count the deer stuffies in their beds) -and just urban enough that we only got a yard deer once, the year we tried growing corn. You can guess how *that* story ends... #kidlitchat

Me, too! The same happened with our oldest, who told my wife there was a beaver outside the house - she said he must have seen a groundhog. But he insisted and guess what? There was a beaver waddling around on our driveway. #kidlitchat

We had great horned owls nest in our yard a couple of years ago and the 2 owlets got VERY big up there, until their mom finally booted them out at 2am one night in a crazy loud free for all. They were NOT happy. #kidlitchat

If yo don’t want to pay for a billion subscriptions, check out your library. Mine gives me access to book reviews like PW & NYT.
Also, if you have an agent, hopefully you’re having convos about what’s selling and feedback they’re getting from editors across their client list.

I agree with a lot of folks here on their resources. Many like SCBWI social media are critical.
Orgs like SLJ, Kirkus reviews, & Boyds Mill (formerly Highlights) are helpful to follow on your platform of choice. I prefer IG bc it’s visual.
