It takes so long to verify whether any fact or video you see on the internet is real. Couple this with the fact that the global explosion of fascism has made it impossible to trust even the sources that used to be reliable, and it is extremely easy for governments to push any narrative they want.

it did though make it easier and easier to let go and figure out what i actually do love and what i am passionate about, and it's still the craft. always has been, always will be. i feel like i am reconnecting with that apart from an industry that frankly seems contemptuous of animators lol
the industry has honestly been so enshittified and increasingly disrespectful to artists that i think the disillusionment and disconnect from it, for me, happened over years. this current moment just seems the logical path of where everything has been going. been lowkey angry for a long time.
