Take a walk along the river, at least to boathouse row. The flowering trees are gorgeous this time of year.

Does anyone in the Bay Area have a doctor who is familiar with hEDS?
At my first appt at the Stanford #mecfs #longcovid clinic he did a quick exam and said I most likely had it, but never had a formal diagnosis.
I’m also 99% certain I have #CCI which would align with this.
Mask vending machine at JFK
So great to see JFK airport still has mask vending machines, which have 3M Auras!
I just got to be an unabashed cheerleader for some of my favorite people on campus — the staff of our amazing center for teaching and learning — and it felt REALLY good. ❤️
Yep. When I teach comparative social policy I spend much more time on the intellectual and ideological bases of conservative and Christian democratic thought
than about the left’s.
Vague-posting here, but it’s so widely applicable:
Never underestimate the power of having your perceptions and experiences validated when you’ve been gaslit for long periods of time.
It can come to feel like it’s not worth the effort to seek out people who get it, but it is definitely worth it.

Now, a serious question: I’ll be in Dublin and Kerry in June. Any great ciders I should seek out? I’ve developed a serious gluten allergy and can no longer drink beer. But I’ve yet to find many ciders that I really enjoy.

Love it!!!
Just donated. I’m sorry to hear another surgery is needed. Ugh.
5 years after bottom trawling was banned across more than 300 km² of seabed off southern England, early signs of ecosystem recovery are emerging. Mussel beds are re-establishing, fish populations are increasing, & conditions are improving for kelp forests. buff.ly/vnOTVLk #ShareGoodNewsToo
This would seem to be an issue that European govts could agree to cooperate on, no?
Book cover of "There Is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America" by Brian Goldstone, displayed against a pink background beneath the Los Angeles Times Book Prizes logo and the words "Current Interest — Winner."
Honored and humbled (and truly stunned!) to have won the LA Times Book Prize.
My profound thanks to the five families at the heart of this book, whose trust and generosity made it all possible. I will never stop being grateful to them.
Terrific Saturday morning read
