Megan Armstrong developed serious #LongCovid after a second infection, post-vaccine, in 2024. A call to action.

"Those doctors, among others, thought my suffering was all in my head. But the only ones playing make-believe are those who perpetuate the idea that #LongCOVID isn’t a real threat to all of us":

"When we combine the neglect of actual common biomedical diseases with the scientifically unjustified belief that physical illness often has psychological causes, we have a perfect storm of medical gaslighting":

Does anyone with #LongCovid #mecfs #pots #mcas have problems with their vision? I have blurry vision from about 2-5 meters distance, my left eye seems to be more affected than my right eye. It is not always the same: sometimes it's worse. Mainly after food or physical exertion it seems. I wonder […]
En dan ga ik nu even dealen met de frustratie dat ik de tuinklus niet kan afmaken want er moet gepaced worden #LongCovid #mecfs
We need to have the conversation /public health campaign, on how to minimize the chances of #covid19 --> #LongCovid. Rest and fully recover helps. Paxlovid? (Dubious). Metformin (BMI dependent?). See thread here: bsky.app/profile/ibal...
August 5, 2020: “Is it just me, or do a lot of the things people talk about re: #LongCovid sound an awful lot like EDS/POTS/MCAS?” The medical establishment caught up in 2021-2022. I knew because I live it.
PacePoints summary for today. 0.0 out of my current daily quota of 22.0.
Visible Health pacepoints graph showing mostly resting heartrate this morning and horizontal pacing line below.
What careful #pacing looks like, this lazy Sunday morning 🙏
NO #VisibleHealth PacePoints used at all so far today 😄
Saving myself for a more active afternoon.

Today would be amazing, as we have a chance to get a bonus £200 donation if we gain more supporters by midnight! Thank you.

Add in the cost of #ME/CFS a chronic illness with many similarities to #LongCovid - estimated EUR annual cost of $40b. US annual cost $20b. Australian annual cost - $10b.
Pfff 🥵 Warme nacht. PEM koorts rillingen bovenop de menopauze warmte. Geen aanrader.
Waar zijn mijn grenzen, kan iemand ze even zoeken want ik heb geen idee waar het nu zo mis ging.
Of zou het een optelsom zijn?

Visible Health pacepoints graph for each day over the past 3 months. Much lower than it was in January...
Here's the longer-term context:
Over the past THREE MONTHS, I have managed to avoid inflammation in my #LongCovid body, despite the additional challenges of repeated dental infections 🙏
This lack of overexertion has made me more mobile and I have been focused on making the most of this week away 🤞
#LongCovid
Visible Health Pacepoints graph for the past 2 weeks showing drop from 15-17 pacepoints a day down to around 5 per day.
As someone with #LongCovid I have to Pace myself constantly.
Over the past TEN DAYS, I have focused on keeping my heartrate particularly low. This has been made possible by my Easter Break from teaching 👇
My #VisibleHealth PacePoints (PP) use has dropped from around 15-17 PP down to 5 PP per day 👇

Wha would make school life easier for the young person you care for ? Blue background. White writing.
This is an important opportunity to ensure that the lived experiences of children and #youngpeople with #LongCovid are reflected in national guidance and future #policy. The DfE is currently consulting on updates to its statutory guidance, Supporting pupils with #medicalconditions at #school.

Performative concern about learning loss from COVID mitigations (and make no mistake, anything that doesn't address #longCOVID is purely performative) is like complaining a fire alarm and evacuation were stressful for children without mentioning that the school was on fire at the time.
Dishonest.
This #LongCovid website from the Washington State Department of Health is worth a look. And 🙏 for mentioning masks and IAQ.

Another head-shaking media article, without a single mention of #COVID or #LongCOVID. Mercifully the article avoids blaming lockdowns, but (like many media articles) erroneously places the pandemic in the past -

No mention of #LongCOVID, but "Number of students missing at least 10% of school year rising since pandemic":
