The sun breaks through the arch of a historic concrete bridge on the Oregon coast, sending rays across a misty forest canyon. Driftwood logs rest on a rocky riverbed below, framed by towering conifers on both sides, the whole scene caught in that particular morning light that makes the Pacific Northwest feel like it's still being invented.

I think #Stunday deserves a stunning sunrise. One of the more memorable moments from this week.

A forest portal to a sunny warm place. The branches of this semi tunnel overhanging a gravel path have just budded and are creating a green arch. I walk from shadows under the arch to a warm sunlight which guides the path around the bend.

A portrait orientation image of a brilliant orange toned sunset made next to the ruins of a Greek temple. The right half of the image is largely filled by five massive stone columns of the nearly 2500 year old structure. The columns are assembled from large stone drums. The colonnade has rectangular blocks running along the top. A combination of rocky ground and fallen pieces of the temple cover the foreground. There is a small slice of the Aegean Sea visible with a resting sailboat on the left side of the frame. Above this is a land section that I believe is Patroclus Island. The setting sun is just above a slightly concave slope in the land form about a third of the way up from the bottom of the frame. The remainder of the sky is cloudless.

The center of this image is dominated by a monochrome image of a hyacinth that angles from upper left to lower right through the frame. A small region at the upper end of the hyacinth is darker where new blossoms are growing; the rest of the image is mostly white. The upper end is also fully in focus, becoming less in focus toward the base of the flower as it moves away from the viewer in the lower part of the frame. The hyacinth is surrounded by numerous other flowers, mostly not in focus, except at the lower right, where a portion of a sharply focused blossom appears. The lower left corner is nearly black, however, except for one small blossom in the background that appears as a dark grey.
