A breathtaking dawn scene captured this morning, where the sky shifts from a deep, glowing amber-orange at the horizon through soft peach tones into a cool blue-grey at the top, a rare, uninterrupted gradient with no clouds to break its sweep. A band of low-lying mist drifts across the tree line, catching the warm light and turning luminous, casting an ethereal veil over the silhouetted conifers and bare-branched trees below. Their jagged crowns cut a dramatic line against the glowing sky, while a roofline in the lower left quietly grounds the scene in a suburban setting. The overall mood is one of deep stillness, that rare, contemplative hush belonging only to the first minutes of a new day.

Today is the 76th Aradhana - death anniversary - of Sri Ramana, the renowned 20th-century Indian sage advocated atma-vichara (self-enquiry) as the primary method to remove ignorance and abide in self-awareness. Henri Cartier-Bresson, the famous French photographer, described seeing at the exact moment of the sage’s passing a "vividly-luminous shooting star with a luminous tail ... moving slowly across the sky and, reaching the top of Arunachala, disappeared behind it."
