make a real difference - undo the grocery monopoly
A butterfly in profile, with the head and antennae to the right. It's resting on a bright green oak leaf, with out-of-focus greenery behind. The wings are folded up, so this view shows the hind underwing and part of the fore underwing. The pattern is a complicated one, with white, brown, pale red, pale blue, and black. The standout feature is two large spots toward the back of the hind underwing. The legs are white, as is the butterfly's "chin." The top of its head is brown, and the eyes are brown and spotted.

I've not heard a clip, but why do I think he's being patronizing, too?
And it's limitation.
one of my favourite flowers. i grew up with the blue variety, but always loved the red ones.
corruption. and those pulling the strings want to destroy the government, so they are happy to leave him there while they carry on behind the scenes.
an anticipated outcome of the capitalist model. Marx was right about a lot of things.

Also interesting that they keep trying to use the same playbook without alteration. I would truly love to know who is the daimon on PPs shoulder who gives him (and Smith) their instructions or their paycheque.
Interesting that this is happening alongside the anti-Pope narrative in the US. While I think it is the same strategy - trying to undermine the narrative of a strong competing authority in the minds of the base - using the US form will not land in Canada. Vance:Pope =/ PP:Carney.

Two blue tits, one partially obscured by a shrub, the other in flight but with its wings elegantly stretched and distorted by the camera lens
My lens can't always keep up with the camera and sometimes warps the image, particularly with birds in flight. It usually just annoys me, but every now and again it unexpectedly produces something a bit magical ❤️

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business.
WE Pay for
Mamdani: "What are we fighting for?. When you look back at the history books of our party, 100 years ago we had a very clear vision of what we were fighting for. It's sad that for too many Americans, when they want to look for ambition in the Democratic Party, then have to turn to a history book."
good plan, but I don't think dougie came up with it....i'd look for a payoff somewhere else that might benefit the premier. something that would be worth the heat.

Fox news has successfully convinced my friends that clean air and water is WOKE and 6 million people dying of air pollution every year is owning the libs🤦♀️🙄
Like China who is heavily invested in solar, not like Dougie Ford who can't think beyond a nuclear reactor and the pockets of his friends.
Because human beings are not the most important thing on the planet. Water is necessary to all creatures. It is part of an active system. Messing with it messes with everything. Maybe we should change our behaviour rather than engineer the world.
When I chose to vote for Carney I commented that I would spend the next number of years arguing with him. He's a rich white colonialist capitalist banker with no vision but a lot of confidence. And he's comfortably ordinary to lots of folks. So yes, we need a real opposition
They are just trying to re-write the narrative, trying to find a wedge and re-ignite the resentment of "elites divorced from the reality of day to day life." etc., etc.
Maybe Canada should move to renewables, like the rest of the enlightened world is doing.
One of my mother's favourite ironic usages.
zombie hello kitty is good enough, but then to tell kids to beat it to a pulp for candy is a whole 'nother level
She is keeping to her playbook. Amazing that she treats Alberta like it is part of the US. I would really love to know who her evil daimon is.
