Across Britain, #CommunityRail is quietly but powerfully connecting people with their local railway and stations, supporting ambitions for a more inclusive, reliable, and people centred rail network - and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to show the Mayor a glimpse of this incredible work 🌍
The Mayor spent valuable time with our chief executive, Mid Cheshire CRP and Friends of Altrincham Interchange, discovering how #CommunityRail initiatives at Altrincham and beyond enhance station environments, promote sustainable travel, support social connections, and create welcoming spaces 🫶

Our movement is 24/7, 365 days a year - creating inclusive, empowered and healthy communities 💚

Graphic titled “You’ve told us... it’s essential to be able to transport children using mobility aids” has a photo of a man with one leg wearing a flat cap riding an e-assist cargo trike away from the camera with a child in the front compartment. They are on a road, going past a playground. The man is saying “I use an electric cargo trike to do most of the things I would otherwise need a car to do. It’s stable enough to take my granddaughter to school plus it’s powerful enough to carry the weekly shopping. My cargo trike gives me more independence, frees up my wife from having to do everything and makes being a grandfather more fun”. At the bottom, hashtag MobilityJustice and the Wheels for Wellbeing logo
Thank you so much to everyone who's shared their mobility aid stories and talked about what works for you - and what isn't working yet. Together, we'll keep working for better mobility options for all Disabled people.
