The school I attended in 70s as a pupil had one (used it once) The school I taught at from the mid-80s had one - never used and finally removed in 90s
You made me laugh out loud with your interesting carrots...so *very* true
I would wheel the TV in on its trolley to questions of "Miss are we watching telly" to which I would reply "No - I just thought I'd bring it in here for a change of scenery"...
Oh I missed this! I have used all of those including a banda machine in the 80s onwards :)
Congratulations!! (And you beat me by two years - 28 then I went to Moodle)

Hi everyone. We are hiring in the Moodle Community team for some developers (#Developer #Educator and Moodle Developer) and there are also some other opportunities available so please do check out the Moodle Careers webpage if you are interested in working at Moodle HQ.

Gosh me neither - and have always cooked with gas.
This was the norm at my school for years - still is afaik
Thanks for the recommendation - Sceptical about celebrity books but as I like mysteries too I will read it.
I'd like to see examples of some of those questions..
France’s language tests for foreigners seeking citizenship defeat French people https://buff.ly/4hwYRLU #langsky
I am really starting to get into the excellent #Moodle Generico Filter - moodle.org/plugins/filt..., which when used in combination with moodle.org/plugins/filt... can do some really clever things - I can create very personalised elements within courses en masse
@nmartignoni.bsky.social La Gestion des rôles dans Moodle. Merci Nicolas! youtu.be/VW7ixCslDdQ?...
And both are set to Display on sign up page? I just tried on the sandbox site and both displayed on sign up page - can you try on there if you haven't already sorted it? sandbox.moodledemo.net

Bluesky, I’m looking for book recommendations
I’d like to read a non-fiction book on Russian history (any period), written in Russian. It should be available for purchase in Russia today, but not filled with nonsense or propaganda.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I love your description of AI as a "thought partner" - I've actually found my really helpful use of AI is to kick-start my own thoughts - often I end up using very little or nothing of AI's original offerings but it just gave me the impetus needed to formulate /expand my own.
I have opened a #Moodle tracker issue for this: tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-8... if anyone is interested and would like to vote
In my attempts to make #Moodle multilingual, I need to increase char limit (from 255) on Activity names. I have done this at database level, so I can have names longer than 255, but if I then try and edit activity later, the interface stops me, as 255 limit still applied. How can I change this?
Yes this helped me a lot when I joined last week!
