With optimized builds, @hyperfy.bsky.social V1 came very close to matching the look and feel of Unity or other game engines-but in the browser. Few people realized how well it also performed on VR browsers and the level of immersion on web. V2 will change everything.

I find tutorials for this add-ons. When itβs comes to setting lights you can test what looks good in cycles render. You end up with those as baking results if the
UVs work ! π
Actually tutorials for lightmap baking are almost not existent afaik. But I can recommend the add-on SimpleBake for the baking process. And ZenUV for good unwrapping + UVpackmaster to create efficient atlases. Good Unwrapping / atlasing is the important part for good results.

If you're building on the web, learning to bake lighting onto textures is a game-changer. For my projects, I now avoid real-time lights entirely, relying solely on baking and creating an HDRI from the baked scene for global illumination. #webXR #webGL #VR #Metaverse
