Wow! I’d almost forgotten about that. I used to mix talc with Humbrol gloss enamel paints 50 years ago as there wasn’t the range of paints available in a matt finish.
2mm Parthians from Irregular Ministures
I really ought to finish the opponents for these 2mm Parthians from Irregular Miniatures. Photo just popped up and it’s 5 years since I painted these. Mounted on 60x60mm bases the same size as #ADLG 28mm. #wargaming #2mm
Of course it does. The whole annual appraisal system seems designed to waste time and be ignored. The year before I retired I put on my annual statement I planned to retire the following May. Even though signed off by the senior director it was a surprise to them. Tick box exercise 😡
Today’s endeavors- more skeletons and the first stand of orcs. Why orcs are supposed to be green I have no idea but I decided to conform on this occasion. #10mm #fantasy #wargaming.
Here we go again! More #10mm skeletons from #WargamesAtlantic. #wargaming #fantasy
Some of my family went from Scotland to Chicago after WWI. Amazingly I found a second cousin living just 10minutes away from one of my best friends in Crystal Lake some years back.
I’m in Wiltshire, England. I sometimes see figures on eBay but don’t think there’s a UK distributor these days
Very nice too. I bought the rules years ago but the figures were hard to find.
I’ve painted something smaller today. #10mm skeletons from #WargamesAtlantic basing tomorrow. #wargaming #fantasy
Me too as all my WWII are for Cruel Seas and anything else is WWI. Sigh! I’d best get shopping
Hot off the press is the #Salute53 #wargaming show report video, plenty of footage of the most of the tables and games and four interviews with game hosts. Check it all out here: youtu.be/RVnObdTkVRI?...
#Salute53 somehow I failed to take photos of a couple of the games I’d specifically wanted to see. New WWII rules Snorkers! Good Oh! for destroyer actions 1939-42. It looks good and not overly complicated.

I should have said that the #6mm game is Stralsund 1628 from Hugo’s Heroes. I have no idea who Hugo is or was and there was no information in the show guide.
True there must have been 20+ vessels on the table including two large galleons
It’s an impressive table with a small fortune in ships
@yarkshiregamer.bsky.social's table at #salute today
Small one 🙂
Some pics from #Salute53 today. The Yarkshire Gamer’s huge Italian Wars game with over 1000 #28mm pikemen
Arrived at Salute 53 at the Excel Centre. # wargaming
Code breakers memorial wall
An interesting day out at #BletchleyPark. Definitely not enough time to see everything. #WWII
True. I’d completely forgotten I’d done that 😬
The collection so far with some bases on the right that forgotten I’d done when working on the Conquistadors 🙄
Looks like I’ve got 3 command bases somehow. Well that just means one thing. IYKYK! #wargaming
I am going to use the figures for l’Arte de la Guerre but also for these
I cannot decide how to finish the bases.
More progress with the #28mm MesoAmericans. All these are 3D Red Copper stls printed by Nerad Designs. #wargaming
