Finally took my bike off the trainer and hit the road! ☀️ 115 km around Uppsala in fantastic spring weather, with a mandatory carrot cake stop at Ulva Kvarn. So many cyclists and runners out today, everyone thriving in the sun!

Practical 100%. Possibly testing out something if it can be desposed of along the way and is very low risk.
I think at the start of my running journey stable running shoes may helped me overcome a pretty swvere knee pain. Not 100% sure that was the cure, but maybe. 🤔
Dry. Made of merino wool (in some capacity)
Nothing weird really. Tried zero drop shoes but I'm too far gone - instant injury 😕

5 pairs - race, cushioned, distance/tempo, trail and one studded pair for icy winter runs. And somtimes I dig out a 'decomissioned' pair when it's extra muddy/dirty conditions.

The best way to spend a rainy sunday. A long #run topped off with an ice bath and swedish fika.

Did some cross country skiing threshold repeats last night to get back in shape after battling the flu and in preparation for #Vasaloppet 90km.
About 500 km on snow so far.

What a day for a ski race! Bessemerloppet 45 km in perfect weather and impeccable tracks. Took me 3 hours. Happy with that - just comimg back from a cold. #xcski

Nice day! Did a short xc-ski session, to prime arm & legs for tomorrows ski race - Bessemerloppet, in perfect weather and -16°C/3.2°F.
I have regular visits from the green woodpecker outside of my home office window. It's a really pretty bird, a welcome distraction from boring work :)

I can almost feel the snow getting into my eyes! Looks amazingly beautiful though.
I should be able to get through the cycling and running where I have a solid training background and I'm even currently in reasonable shape. So if I can get the swimming in order, I think it should't be impossible to finish Iron Man.
But will I get the swimming in order? I'll definitely try!
I still do think it should be possible to get there though. It isn't surprising I'm a bad swimmer, I haven't been swimming really since I was a teenager some 35 years ago or so.
Did my first swim session yesterday and discovered I'm capable of about 50 m continous swimming and then need to recover before proceeding. I have some way to go to say the least.
Iron Man coming up in 8 about months and I'm in trouble.

Not as intense as last year, but still ok. I'll have to ramp it up again next year 😁

I suck at #swimming, can do a couple of hundred meters without drowning but that's about it. So now I of course signed up for an #ironman next year. Got 11 months to get my swimming in order, probably #stupid af.
