Consistent violations of international humanitarian law by Israel in Gaza have resulted in an already fragile sexual and reproductive health and rights service there now facing extreme staff shortages, lack of supplies and safe facilities.
Evidence shows that mandatory waiting period lead to later abortions. Removing the wait would increase Early Medical Abortions at home instead of later term surgical procedures in hospital. Earlier abortion means fewer hospital abortions thereby reducing burdens on women, health system & HSE costs.
