I too get this feeling allllll the time but fwiw you have a very cool and genuine upbeat vibe!
Like I get a fucking pit in my stomach when I catch wind of another video because of how safe it is to assume that any staff member caught on camera will be punished. That’s just how the cult has operated.
Something something how media & popular culture treat cults as entertainment etc etc.
I’m just so annoyed because we COULD be doing more outreach on the cult’s influence and harm, but no. That’s not content.
Scientology is somewhat multi-generational. A lot of people are born into it and raised in a sheltered bubble where outsiders are regarded with caution and a desire to ‘save’ - the people staffing public-facing positions have no power within that cult but all the responsibility of bad press.
The whole ‘Scientology run’ tiktok thing depresses me for a lot of reasons, mainly that it offers nothing to the indentured ‘staff’ that those videos target.
There is no goal of awareness or advocacy, not even a shallow one. It’s just content. Everything is content.
